Salvation is described as the mystery of God that is now revealed ( Eph 3:9 ; 6:19 ), a plan conceived before the foundations of the world ( Eph 1:3-14 ), a light for revelation to the Gentiles ( Luke 2:30-32 ), a transition from death to life ( John 5:24 ), a message especially for sinners ( Mark 2:17 ), a gift of grace through faith not of works ( Eph 2:8-9 ), that for which the whole creation groans ( Rom 8:22 ), the revelation of God's righteousness to faith and for faith ( Rom 1:16-17 ), the justification that comes through faith ( Rom 4:22-25 ), reconciliation ( 2 Cor 5:18-19 ), and redemption ( Rom 8:23 ). In response to Nicodemus's statement, salvation is said to be a spiritual birth, a birth from above without which one cannot enter the kingdom ( John 3:1-11 ). Salvation means death to and freedom from sin ( Rom 6 ), a new perspective that transcends the human point of view and participation in a new creation ( Rom 5:16-17 ), peace with God ( Rom 5:1 ), life as adopted children of God's ( Gal 4:4 ), baptism into Christ's death ( Rom 6:4 ), and the reception of the Holy Spirit ( Rom 5 , 8 ).What does it mean to be saved? Please explain.
So when a person gets saved, what happens?Salvation is described as the mystery of God that is now revealed ( Eph 3:9 ; 6:19 ), a plan conceived before the foundations of the world ( Eph 1:3-14 ), a light for revelation to the Gentiles ( Luke 2:30-32 ), a transition from death to life ( John 5:24 ), a message especially for sinners ( Mark 2:17 ), a gift of grace through faith not of works ( Eph 2:8-9 ), that for which the whole creation groans ( Rom 8:22 ), the revelation of God's righteousness to faith and for faith ( Rom 1:16-17 ), the justification that comes through faith ( Rom 4:22-25 ), reconciliation ( 2 Cor 5:18-19 ), and redemption ( Rom 8:23 ). The New Testament articulates salvation in terms of past, present, and future time. In Christ we were elected before the foundation of the world ( Eph 1:4 ). In hope we were saved ( Rom 8:24 ). Yet the cross is the power of God for those who are being saved ( 1 Cor 1:18 ). Likewise Paul's readers are admonished to work out their salvation with fear and trembling ( Php 2:12 ). And there is yet a salvation that lies waiting to be revealed in the last time ( 1 Peter 1:5 ), a redemption for which we groan inwardly ( Rom 8:23 ). For Paul, the past dimension of salvation is generally conceived as justification, redemption, and reconciliation, while its present dimension is depicted in terms of the Spirit's sanctifying work. Its future dimension is said to be glorification, the culmination of the saving process wherein believers will experience Christ's presence in new and resurrected bodies no longer burdened by the vestiges of sin.

So when a person gets saved, what happens?
What does it mean to be saved? Please explain.
When a person is on this journey of sanctification, what do they do differently than they were doing before the journey? They begin their journey of sanctification, lead by the Holy Spirit, which conforms them to the image of Christ here on earth.
So you can continue sinning free of punishment? All your sins Past-Present-Future are forgiven & Christ gives you eternal life with Him.
How about those raised in a Christian household and spent their entire lives trusting Christ, are those people born saved because they have always trusted Christ? At the moment we truly make the decision to trust Christ we are justified
Set apart from what?We are also SANCTIFIED = set apart for a for an ongoing purpose/work/mission that continues until the day we meet the Lord.
How To Be Born AgainWhat does it mean to be saved? Please explain.
So if a person is raised in a Christian home, and has always trusted in Christ, does this mean they were always saved?

My link says nothing of the sort.So if a person is raised in a Christian home, and has always trusted in Christ, does this mean they were always saved?
God has no grandchildren
What type of mission are they given, and is everyone who gets saved given such an ongoing mission? Or is it possible for someone to get saved and spend so much time raising their family, that they don't have time for an ongoing mission? The post said: set apart for a for an ongoing purpose/work/mission that continues until the day we meet the Lord (See Eph 2:10)

FYI, that is known in some circles as a legacy "Christian."
God has no grandchildren.
There is always a personal decision required. Some may have made that decision when very young but there was still a watershed moment. Sometimes, people need to revisit that decision as their understanding of personal sin matures.I guess my question is; if a person has always received Christ by faith, was he always saved?
But in order for a change of heart to happen, that means there was a time in your life when you did not trust Christ. Is't it possible for a person to have been raised in a way to have always trusted Christ for as long as they were capable of understanding? There is always a personal decision required. Why? If a child can grow up trusting their parents from day 1, what's to stop them from trusting Christ?
