In honor of the first four seasons (plus the college years) now being out on DVD, let's talk about Saved By The Bell!!! Time to reminisce...favorite episodes? Characters? Moments?

My favorite episode is probably the one where Kelly can't afford to go to the prom, so Zack sets one up outside the school for her. *sigh* I'd marry Zack Morris if he were a real person! :)

That was my favorite show. I was in the 8th grade when the characters were freshmen and I was a high school senior when they were in college which made the show even more special to me. I'm over ten years older now so the show doesn't appeal to me much any more and I haven't watched it in years. I did see an episode of SBTB College Years once after I graduated from college but the Zack feelings for Kelly reminded me too much of a love triangle I had been through in college so I decided I didn't even want to watch that episode.

I don't remember the prom episode but my favorite was from the first season when Screech was feeling down about not having a girlfriend so Zack tries to help Screech get a girlfriend but that fails. Then Zack dresses like a girl and convinces Screech he's a girl that's interested in Screech so Zack can build his self esteem. There are several really good moments in that episode but one really funny one is Zack shows Screech how to "put a move on a girl" giving him things to say and how lean back looking cool. Screech goes up to a girl and tries it and when he leans back trying to look cool he falls into a trash can. Another great element of that episode is how much Zack will do for Screech.

At the end of the show you notice the name of the producer (if I remember correctly Peter Engle) with a heart symbol. Around the time of the third season I saw the producer interviewed on the 700 Club and he talked about he was extremely mean before and that his nick name was ice because he was so cold. Then he became a Christian and the thing people noticed most was how kind and loving he suddenly was and that's why there is heart symbol when his name appears. Much more recently I saw an interview with his wife, apparently she was a really famous model in the 1980's, and she talked about how one night she had a dream about her elementary school. When she woke up she told her husband that felt the Holy Spirit telling her that the two of them were to put some of their childhood memories together and make a tv show out of it which is how SBTB came into existance.

I recently started watching the show in reruns at TBS that came on at 6am when I got off work. It is a funny show. My Mom thinks I'm nuts for watching such a silly show. But I think it's pretty good. It's actually pretty clean compared to todays stuff.

What ever happened to Jessie Spano in the College Years? I would have at least thought she'd be in the episodes where Zack and Kelly get married in Vegas but I guess not.

She was trying to start a movie career. She was the main character in an awful movie, Show Girls, that was suppose to launch her career and make her the next Sharon Stone but turned out to be a bomb. Although she only played a small role I think First Wives Club, in which she played a mistress, is the best movie I've seen her in.

I used to watch this when I was really little... and my bro was watching it the other day and it was an ep about Jessie being addicted to the caffeine pill, and, I went through the same thing about a year or two ago, so I really related.

LOL!!! this was the cheesiest show ever, but i loved it!!!:D It was so dumb and the plots never added up. Like in the episode where violet won the chorus championships for the school b/c she was the only kid there that could sing decent. But in the episode where they were Zac and the Zac Attacks they could all sing and play instuments. lol And the clothes on the show were soooo awful!! and over the top! Remembeer Slater's pleated acid washed jeans!!! lol Sooo funny

Because of this thread I decided to do a search to see how often SBTB comes on and I noticed that there was going to be an E Hollywood Story about SBTB on today so I set my vcr to record it. I'm watcing it now and I'm learning so much about the series like the pilot episode had the actor who later played Urkel on Family Matters and Tori Spelling was on some episodes.

It's probably a repeat of the one you heard of before.

I was curious what happened to the one who played Lisa because I've seen the others in movies or tv shows since then but not her. It said she's been in soap operas since then. Something else that they added to her being in soap operas interested me because although it didn't say what religion she is (hopefully Christian) it said after over a year on one soap opera she had to leave because they wanted her to do sex scenes and she refused because it violated her religious beliefs. She immediately got a new job on another soap opera.
