The Bible teaches that New Covenant Christians are saved by faith. But faith, in itself, is only the act of believing. We can have faith in many useless things that have no bearing on eternal life. This tells us that the saving part of faith is seen in the substance of that which is believe and not in the act of believing alone.

Saving faith is a faith that acts accourding to what it believes.

James 2:20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

The Bible teaches us that we are to have the faith of Jesus. In other words, believe and walk as He did.

1 John 2:6 the one who says Jesus abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as Jesus walked.

Jesus kept His Father's commandments or else He would have sinned and become unacceptable as our perfect sacrifice.

The Bible teaches clearly how we too, as New Covenant Christians, should have the same faith as Jesus and keep the same commandments of God, just as Jesus did.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Now I undestand how some here have not seen the light as of yet and will say the commandments of God are not the Ten Commandments. So let's take this time to see if the faith that is found in the New Covenant include the Ten Commandments.

Matthew 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, `You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.' ''

The New Covenant teaches us a principle that God is the only one to be worshiped.

1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

The New Covenant teaches us to keep ourselves from idols.

Luke 1:49 because the Powerful One has done great things for me. His name is holy.

The New Covenant teaches us that God's Name is holy.

Mark 2:28 "Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.''

The New Covenant says Jesus is Lord of THE Sabbath. The word (THE) is referring to a specific amount of holy time identified in the fourth commandment as the Sabbath day.

Matthew 12:12 "Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.''

The New Covenant teaches us that doing good during that specific holy time called, the Sabbath, is not a violation of it.

Ephesians 6:1-2 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother,'' which is the first commandment with promise: "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.''

The New Covenant tells us to honor our mother and father and in doing so we have a promise. That promise was established in the fifth commandment.

1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters.
The New Covenant tells us not to be a murder confirming the sixth commandment.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

The New Covenant tells us not to commit adultery.

1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters.
The New Covenant tells us not to steal.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, putting away lying, each one speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

The New Covenant tells us not to lie.

Luke 12:15 And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness,

The New Covenant tells us not to covet.

Notice all these confirmations of the Ten Commandments do not say, "Thou Shall Not" but they do teach the principles of keeping the Ten Commandmentds. Which if done in the power of the Spirit, will manifest itself as godly love.

Romans 13:8-10 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery,'' "You shall not murder,'' "You shall not steal,'' "You shall not bear false witness,'' "You shall not covet,'' and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'' Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

K4c,

We are saved by grace/hope through faith (justification). Romans 5:2.

Justification is the sweet sound of his Voice through the blood of Jesus.
Romans 4:24-5:1.
Grace is the bitterness in our belly as his arm disciplines (chastens/tribulations). Romans 5:3-5; Hebrews 12:6.

Rom 4:16
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, KJV

Well done as usual, K4C . I like how you showed us specifically where we can find the references to each one of the Ten Commandments in the New Testament. These scriptures totally expose the deception that as New Testament Christians we are under some kind of "new law" that doesn't require obedience of any sort..really kind of silly really when you truly study the Bible for yourself.

But I will admit, while I always knew they were there, I have never seen someone go through the effort of compiling a list like that before. Thanks! This serves as a beautiful reminder to us that our God is a Holy God who has always expected the same from his people. Which reminds me of a verse "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." (Malachi 3:6)

And Titus 2:11-14:

11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12Teaching us that,denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Thank you for the encouragement, it sure helps to know there are other brothers and sisters in Christ who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

God loves righteousness and those who practice it.

Psalms 33:5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

Psalms 11:7 For the Lord is righteous; He loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.

He loved righteousness and them who practice it in the Old Testament and He loves righteousness and them who practice it today and He will love them tomorrow.

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.''

They who practice righteousness and love the brethren are His true born again children for they have been truly born of God. Those who don't practice righteousness are of the devil.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

He changes not...

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.

 Great Biblical affirming truths right there!!
You got to be kidding me..

Who coined the phrase "saved by grace through faith"? Why not let him teach us the doctrine of faith?

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The scriptures above teach that man have no part to play but believing and accepting God's gift. The text below teaches that, after we've accepted His free gift we can do good works, just as the body of of believers are called to minister and to be about service to the poor.....)

The scriptures above teach that; "if we had a part to play in salvation we could brag about our effort to earn salvation. We cant because salvation is a free gift. Jesus did it all.
Eph 2:10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The contradiction being taught by commentary is that faith is keeping the ten commandments.
K4c and other are avoiding the doctrine of faith as taught by Paul.
It teaches us that "faith" is without works of the law".Rom 3:28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

These guys are always adding to or contradicting the scriptures.

How do you define the meaning of saved?
k4c,

First, being saved is being a member of the Body of the priesthood of Jesus and living in the new Jerusalem with Jesus and serving under Jesus' everlasting priesthood and ministering to the nations as they bring their honor and glory to the city where the temple of God abides.

Commonly, being saved is the "nations of the saved" who are ruled over by a rod of iron and are healed with the leaves of the tree of life.

There is a salvation especially for the household of faith/priesthood of Jesus and there is a common salvation for the congregation.

The blood of atonement for the priest and his family is from a bullock.

The blood of atonement for the congregation is from a male goat.

The blood is sprinkled by the high priest on the same day, but first for the priest and his household and then for the congregation.

The two different animals symbolize the distinction between being stiff-necked and being stubborn.

Our Lord Jesus became sin for both processes of iniquity. It is with his own blood that he makes atonement/reconciliation. We follow him by grace through faith as he hands the kingdom over to the Father and the chastening of the Father's judgments occur in the bondwoman of this earth, because of his love for his children.

These judgments are not joyous to us. They are grievous to us. But afterward they yield the peaceable fruits of righteousness.

Let us not despise the saving grace through the arm of our Father exercised through his judgments/tribulations upon his reconciled children.

Heb 12:5-8
My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. KJV

One thing I've notice about you is that you just reject and deny, reject and deny, reject and deny. If I said the sky was blue you would reject and deny. But then when someone asks you a question to see exactly what you do believe you don't answer. It is that you are one who always learns but never comes to the knowledge of truth?

I remember someone asking you how you understand the new covenant but I don't remember ever seeing your reply. I remember looking for it but I never found it. Now I asked you to define what it means to be saved and I got no answer. Do you just like rejecting and denying without really even having an understanding of anything? You know, to deny truth using the Bible is not hard to do. God says homosexality is a sin yet people use the Bible to show that it's not a sin.

Now let me ask you again. How do you define the meaning of saved?

One thing I've notice about you is that you just reject and deny, reject and deny, reject and deny.
I never reject or deny God's word. You go through great length to undermined what is written and you ignor my responses to your OP by asking more questions.

If I said the sky was blue you would reject and deny.

But then when someone asks you a question to see exactly what you do believe you don't answer. It is that you are one who always learns but never comes to the knowledge of truth?
God's word is true regardless of what you say or what I think. You're not teaching God's truths.
I remember someone asking you how you understand the new covenant but I don't remember ever seeing your reply. I remember looking for it but I never found it.
Here is the request #28 and the reply follows in that same day on the next post#29 and the rest of that thread. As usual you wont admit being in error about the fact that I did reply. You'll just ask another question.

Now I asked you to define what it means to be saved and I got no answer. Do you just like rejecting and denying without really even having an understanding of anything?
k4c, I respond to most of your threads but you dont reply directly to my responses. Asking other questions put you on the offense rather than proving your OP is truth.

You know, to deny truth using the Bible is not hard to do. God says homosexality is a sin yet people use the Bible to show that it's not a sin.

Now let me ask you again. How do you define the meaning of saved?

The ultimate meaning and application of being saved is to be rescued from the wrath of God for the penalty of sin.

You have your answer, so now can you followup to my OP response?

Cribstyl,

Your answer is valuable as witnessed in Romans 5.

Rom 5:9-10
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. KJV

When our accuser is defeated in heaven, he comes down to us with great wrath and our Lord Jesus saves us from this wrath through his resurrection life, even the law of the Spirit of life that is in Christ Jesus.

Let me ask you a few more questions, just so I understand you.

First, how does one know he's a sinner and needs to be saved?

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! You should try to give a response to my responses both to your OP and your accusation of me not responding to questions, before I go chasing again.
Why should you keep pushing your agenda down my throat, then make up lies about what I believe?

Everything you post contradicts Scripture and God's plan as a whole to have a people He can call his own who will keep His law because they love Him. Since nothing you say makes sense so I have to keep repeating myself over and over again. Now you refuse to answer my question because you can't. The answer you give will contradict everything you're trying to push here so your stuck and have to point the blame back to me.

Sorry, it's not going to work. Now please answer my question, if you can?
