Are the Israelites being unfair to Saul, Saul toke his clothes off and danced before God

1 Samuel 19:24
So Saul went to Naioth at Ramah. But the Spirit of God came even on him, and he walked along prophesying until he came to Naioth. He stripped off his garments, and he too prophesied in Samuel's presence. He lay naked all that day and all that night. This is why people say, "Is Saul also among the prophets?"

As we can see from the scriptures saul danced naked all day and all night inspired by the spirit of God. But Israelites people wondered "Is saul among the prophets" I mean a man takes off his clothes all day and night yet he is a prophet?

The Israelites hated Saul [despite being inspired by the spirit of God to do this].
Yet David Did the same thing and yet The Israelites did not criticizes him.

2 Samuel 6
20 And David returned to bless his own house: and Michol the daughter of Saul coming out to meet David, said: How glorious was the king of Israel to day, uncovering himself before the handmaids of his servants, and was naked, as if one of the buffoons should be naked. 21 And David said to Michol: Before the Lord, who chose me rather than thy father, and than all his house, and commanded me to be ruler over the people of the Lord in Israel,

Why did the Israelites feel its ok for david to dance naked before God yet not ok for Saul to do that ? We find later God rejected saul as king not just Israelite but not sure for the reason too.

Michal was being sarcastic. See 2 Samuel 6:22 (Stopping at v.21 smacks of dishonesty on your part.)

Do you come here to get unconfused, or are you hoping to spread confusion to others?

to the OP -its a very loaded post it seems . it is very out of context . also saul ws known (you wil find if you read the text in depth often enough to become familiar with it ) to be fickel and change his mind based upon what pressures people brought to bear on him .. more then once he used the excuse " but the men but the men " he liked to be a please of men .

where as David became know as a man who stuck to his guns in everything (except the one case of uriah the hittite) and opposes "the men " in order to honor god and brought about great and numerous victories -in short David brought fame .. saul brought shame . Davids dance was before ALL the people .. where as only those who passed by the area knew of sauls laying naked prophesying.
the two cases you've presented are like comparing pineapples with walnuts - so excuse us if we are incredulous of your motives

I recommend re-reading the entirety of I and II Samuel, preferably at a single sitting, to get the entire picture of what's going on with Saul and David.

Addressing the individual points:

1) "Is Saul among the prophets?" Dancing naked in ecstasy isn't my thing, but it isn't morally wrong, and Saul and David aren't criticized for it (except by Michal). In I Samuel 19, Saul prophesies, and seems to have been in some kind of Spirit-inspired ecstatic state. Thus, the people thought that Saul might be a prophet. That's praise, not criticism.

2) I don't recall I or II Samuel saying that the Israelites hated Saul. The Israelites do seem quite taken with David, and God has issues with Saul, but neither of those means that the Israelites hated Saul. Maybe you can cite the passage you have in mind; I may have overlooked a statement in my reading.

3) God rejecting Saul:
We find later God rejected saul as king not just Israelite but not sure for the reason too.
The writer of I Samuel gives reasons for God's rejection earlier in the book: I Samuel 13 and 15.

The ultimate reason that God rejected Saul is that Saul rejected God.

Saul loved to make pious looking (and disasterous) grandstands which God had not commanded like forcing his soldiers to fast prior to and during wars - yet he failed to follow God’s specific commands and directions over and over.

Then - to add insult to injury - he slaughtered nearly the entire Levitical
Priesthood.... No doubt he drove off or killed all the prophets who would otherwise have tried to steer him in the right direction. Even Samuel feared for his life around Saul.... That’s probably not an effective way to endear yourself to God.....

So for example - when it says he received no answer from the Urim or Thummim - that’s because the High Priest and his official garb was in hiding with David because Saul was trying to kill the priesthood......
