Out of all the 7 mortal sins... Witch basically everything can be subgrouped under... Witch one would be the worse? and would make the devil like you bettter and god look at you with disapointment.

Id say the worse in Pride. Isnt that why Lucifer fell from heaven?

Id say the least worse in Lust, Since god made us like that.


I know you guys are all going to say... THERE ALL BAD

Taking your thoughts off God's great & wonderful thoughts is sin, so it's all off the rails, why spend time comparing one bit of muck with another ?

There is no worst sin or best sin. James 2:10 says:
10For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it

So no sin is better or worse than another. It all separates us from God. It is man who tries to rank sin. The only example in Scripture I see for ranking them is for civil punishment, in the OT.

God never looks at me with anything but love.

The worst failing of humanity I believe is idolatry, of whatever kind; failing to keep our focus on God, and instead offering our worship elsewhere. This breaks the first commandment, and therefore must be something to guard against. That could well derive from pride.

Being as the smallest of sins does the job, I'd say whichever sin is the least guarded against. A little of even the smallest sin goes a long way.

You may want to try under the General Theology area in the Christian only part of this forum. You may get more responses to what you're looking for from many different denominations.

If I had to pick the worst sin it would be murder. You are taking the life of someone else and you can never reverse it. But each sin has it's own destructive force behind it. We may think there are "small" sins, but they are highly damaging and destructive. And those small sins interfere our relationship with God just as much as the "big" ones can.

I can point you in a better direction, but not in the way you mean.

Stop looking at the devil and concentrate on looking at God. At present you are in danger of forgetting that this is not a balance of two equal powers, but a balance of an omnipotent God who has already won the battle, and a relatively minor and unimportant satan, who is fighting a losing rearguard action. By focussing on satan, I believe that many Christians come very near indeed to satanic activity; talking up his power, and generating fear of him, rather than talking about Our Lord, and about God's love.

Whatever is good, whatever is pure, whatever is wholesome; look upon these things. Our Lord turns his back on satan. I believe we need to do exactly the same.

hello falling christian, Sin is, as u know, apart of human nature, there is no sin that is Satan's favourite. Seeing us rebel against God is good enough for the devil. I guess his favourite would be us worshipping another god. However no matter what we do God always will love us, John 3:16, and Satan will always hate us because we were made in God's image. The greatest sin and the one most loved by satan is the sin that a man says to himself is not sin.

The stumbling stone that causes one to fall is the one that was not seen or recognised.
