Specific prohibition against Satanism? No. A rule against the promotionTrueQ said:Closed? Is there actually a rule prohibiting satanism in the rules? Even here in the Non-Christian forum?
Satan RULEZ!!1!!! and willFuzzy said:Specific prohibition against Satanism? No. A rule against the promotion
or advocation of a non-Christian religion? Yes, Rule 5. Saying "here's
what Satanists say about themselves," and citing a text, is a very
different statement than (for EXAMPLE), "Satan RULEZ!!1!!! and will rule
you all unless you become Satanists!" The first is a discussion, the
second is advocacy.
Just speaking as a person on the internet, if the Mods didn't have rules,
it would be rather...cuthroat in here. If they get into specifics on every
rule, then people can find a loophole, AND there would be hundreds of
rules rather than 7 for the forum and a set for the chatbox.
I must adit curiosity regarding the OP.
It's not just your opinion, it's your microcosm. For someone whosemarkie said:Aw comeon, I won't tell if you won't. I mean we trash Islam, we should be able to trash your religion too. In fact if you don't worship God, you are worshiping Satan, but that's just my oppiinion.
1. I'm not a Satanist, I'm not advocating Satanism, and wrote that asmarkie said:Satan RULEZ!!1!!! and will

I was just joking, on another thread collided stop all this Islam is a violent religion. I read that people were trashing Islam and there used to be more Muslims visiting this site. I'm glad you don't trash anyone, it''s stupid and counterproductive. How does somebody expect to win somebody to Christ by telling them they're worshipping the devil? They are just as committed to their religion as we are to ours and if people have been telling them their God is a devil I'm surprised there are any Muslims here at all. We might think that, but I think that's what can be called the meat of the word 1 Corinthians 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.Fac3less said:"Aw comeon, I won't tell if you won't. Um, "we" - don't use we. you, sure.
Thanks...
I don't trash anyone.
I think this could be an interesting discussion. I am a Christian, but I am interested in all religions. I don't believe in Allah, but I am interested in Islam. I don't believe in Hinduism but I am interested in their religion as well, and just because I am interested in it doesn't mean I want to convert. I am just a little bit curious as to how they got to be religions in the first place..Yam Kimil said:never mind all this
I didn't think you were. I shoudn't have quoted you, I'm sorrry if you misinterpreted my post. I knew that was an example.Fuzzy said:1. I'm not a Satanist, I'm not advocating Satanism, and wrote that as

2. If Satan, if he exists, were put in a position of authority, how he ruled
certain subsets of the populace might depend on how he felt about them
or they felt about him. For the opposition, or those who refuse to submit, he might be rather despotic, cruel, etc. For the loyal followers and supporters,
he might be more of a Hobbesian Leviathan, the populace gives up certain
rights in exchange for certain benefits of his rule. He's still the ruler in
either case, but the former get diddly while the latter get some sort of perk.
But this is all hypothetical. Whether there would be a perk under Satan's
rule or not would only be known once he started ruling.
I try to respect all religions, but will not compromise on my own. In my previous post I was refering to most Christians when I said we.Fuzzy said:It's not just your opinion, it's your microcosm. For someone whose
worship is outside the influence of Judeo-Christianity or Islam, the name "Satan"
would carry about as much weight as "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark,"
or "Clifford the Big Red Dog" or "Colonel Mustard." It would be a literary
reference, much like a Pagan who follows the Greek pantheon worships
a deity or deities that you might hold in a "mythology/literature" view.
There are other threads in this forum that are still open. Perhaps your
"trashing" has been doled out in there, perhaps not.

Fonzie's cool.
