I admit I don't know much about the Catholic Church. But I've always wondered why the Pope carries this crucifix. It depicts Christ still on the cross, as if that is the end of the story. I think it might send the wrong message to an unbeliever. We worship a risen Christ, and that is the true gospel. If Christ is still on the Cross, we worship in vain.

What I think is that this entire thread should be deleted, and you should be considered for banning (both for this and for your actions on the preterist threads.)

CATHOLIC BASHING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Why is that so hard to understand? How many times does it need to be posted?

Well I wasn't bashing Catholics, some of my family members are Catholic and I love them very very much. But I don't understand some of their beliefs. And I'm not saying I disagree with them, because you can't disagree with what you don't understand.

I agree, your post was fine by me. It's all in how the post is worded. Your post was worded as a question about something you didn't understand. If you had added at the end, "How long will it be until Satan is on the Pope's crucifix instead of Jesus?" then it would have been bashing.

Well I don't judge the Catholic Church by what the Pope says or does, or the Cardinals, preists, etc. I judge them by the members I know personally, and I know some very good Catholic people. I don't believe the Vatican is Satanic, but even if it was, the Holy Spirit knows how to fill the hearts of the Catholic people], regardless of what may or may not be going on at the Vatican.

1st: Christ is the head of church, the pope won't be needing to give up any chair for he's not the head.

I don't think Catchup is Catholic bashing, but he is bringing up some very questionable practices. I also believe that it is the preterists that are breaking the second rule. They will have much to disagree with on end time events, because their view of end time was 70 AD. So by posting on this forum, they bring confusion. Not to us that know about their beliefs, but to the newcomers who don't. For those of us that are very aware of them, we are constantly having to stop our discussions, and defend and explain very basic truths, only because theys guys can't find the right forum. They are clearly here to divide and argue, and they disrupt the normal flow of us that believe that Christ is still to come. Letting them stay here, is like asking muslims to stay on a jewish forum until they can come to some agreement. It won't happen, but many will leave this forum because it will be bearing very little, or no fruit, which is the goal of the preterists in the first place. They are not here to learn our beliefs, or agree with any end time subject. They also ignore Erwin's request, which he posted at the very top of the first page of the forum. I believe wisdom would move their threads to a different forum, either that or ban them for not following the request of the leadership of this forum. The Catholics have their own forum, and the end times forum is not for always agreeing with the Catholic view.

Please believe me...I am deeply sorry if this thread causes problems. I do not want any of the Catholics to feel like they are being attacked by me. I know that the Catholic church is composed of good Christians. I do not question your Faith. But we must keep our eyes and ears open...

Just suppose the Antichrist showed up. Where do you think he would want to sit?

Why would the Vatican want to use these Satanic items? There is no need!

The cross has always had a deep meaning to Christians..

"Jesus, keep me near the cross -- There a precious fountain, Free to all, a healing stream, Flows from Calvary's mountain. In the cross, in the cross, Be my glory ever, Till my raptured soul shall find Rest, beyond the river."

However, since our hearts fill with love of the Cross, Satan's mind is filled with inexpressible fury at it. He loses no opportunity to degrade its meaning.

Moderators: I am sorry if this thread is hard to control. But please try to make all posters show respect for our Catholic brothers and sisters. My intent is not to bash but help and understand. Deleting this thread would amount to closing our eyes and walking in the dark. It is your call.

OK, I get it. I re-read the link. Maybe he did not word everything polite enough.

But I am still wanting to know... why good Christians do not take a more active part in the way their Catholic Church presents itself. It looks to be a place where the Antichrist could step into without any further decorating.

(1) Twisted crucifix

(2) Inverted cross chair

(3) Sun God Statues

(4) Eight wheel pattern of courtyard.

I will stop...but there is more. I think maybe we should put on our Christian Armour instead of closing our eyes and acting like sheep lead to the slaughter. But that is only my opinion.

Catchup, that is much better -- I don't feel that the tone of your later posts is so abrupt and accusatory as the first one. But I don't know the answers to your questions. Possibly an anti-catholic group is twisting legitimate catholic practices to make them seem unchristian, but let's see what the more knowledgable catholics say about it.

So tell me...Is there ANY teaching that would raise a red flag for you or would you just accept anything that comes along if it would offend those who adopt them to speak out against the teaching? Just curious...

It's all in the wording. I made that clear in previous posts. You can question catholic practices without calling them satanic, or making challenges about the antichrist.

Indeed. There's a big difference between:

"Can anyone explain to me the doctrine of Transubstantiation?"

and

"I HEARD THE CATHOLICS EAT HUMAN FLESH DURING ONE OF THEIR SERVICES!!!!"
