Satan or a Snake

No. that it is referring to a literal snake and explaining why we fear snakes, why snakes no longer have legs. That it is saying a wild animal, not the devil is tempting eve and was even punished for it.

If Adam and Eve had asked god why he didn't want them to eat from the tree of life, and OFCOURSE god would have told them. But they did not ask. I am asking why, and becoming worse off than before.

I am looking for a definitive answer as to weather or not the snake the bible says tempted eve was, a physical animal, which the above suggests or the spiritual devil. Keep in mind Eve had not yet sinned, but a physical snake was sinning, under the influence of the devil? I also hear everything on earth being punished, Except the one creature who should have been. Reading back now, maybe i was just trying to make a point. The snakes seems to be literal.

and the snake was punished. At one time the snake could walk but it can not because of it's specific curse
