Hello

So for a few years I've daydreamed about a topic I've never told anyone about. I've never thought anything of it but it could mean something.

I have daydreamed a lot about Satan invading my body and through me comes the beginning of the end times. I see Satan as myself pulling the life source out of people's bodies making them grow old and die and then I see an army of white/black robotic like figures which look humanoid but inside they're demons. I daydream that Satan has far more advanced technology than any government and uses it to ultimately destroy those who are not going to be accepted into Heaven. Sometimes I daydream that I'm an angel or a human with a destiny to save someone and in the process of saving someone, I die and am surrounded by angels and taken up into Heaven.

This may all seem crazy. I will say right now I am worried that Satan is existing in the back of my mind like he has a control over part of me. I don't claim to be an angel, apostle, or someone sent by God or Satan. I simply am claiming that I have had these strange daydreams that I can't make sense of. Maybe it's just an overactive imagination or maybe someone like God or Satan is trying to tell me something in pictures and I can't decipher it.

Any advice or help would be appreciated. I do struggle with my faith if that helps with anyone giving me advice on what to do.

Many Blessings

Immediately turn to God and pray and go read the scripture.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Ephesians 6 Put on the full armour of God.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Hi Joshua,

It sounds like you have a very active imagination.

I wouldn’t worry about it though these are just daydreams.

The part to worry about though is your relationship with God. If you are struggling in this area I would talk to a pastor and seek out online resources such as YouTube sermons.

God bless.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. —2 Corinthians 10:5

If you're entertaining the thoughts of your own volition that's one thing. If they're intrusive that's a different issue. Pray against the spirit of fantasy and affectation.

Using the pen name "Christlivesinme" and saying that satan is in you, your mind, is an impossibility. It can be only one or the other. do you need to change your pen name???
What I trying to get at is that if you are saved then you are a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST JESUS. Jesus is much stronger than satan and will not allow satan any space in you; NONE. It is you and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Satan can only attack us from outside by harassing us or enticing obsessions, and/or oppressions; but it is WE who CHOOSE to let satan influence our minds. None of us are perfect as Christians and are on a road of constantly (hopefully) learning and growing more and more like Christ. We all struggle with temptation and we all fail now and then, but we must pick our self up, sometimes with God's help claiming his forgiveness in confession (1 Jn 1:9) and His strength and continue on in our battle (Ephes 6:10- ) here on satan's turf, the earth. Our citizenry is in heaven ever since we were saved. We are aliens, sojourners in this world now., yet as such, Ambassadors for Christ.

I recommend that you get a copy of "War on the Saints". It goes into the spiritual battle that all Christians face. The question (as others have said) is what is the source of the thought. Are you choosing to think or is something pretending to be you injecting suggestions into your mind? It's a vital issue as many people fight the wrong problem, thinking it is them when in reality it is evil spirits. "War on the Saints" is a great resource to understand the problem and also provide the answers.

A lot of people lack spiritual knowledge about these problems. If there was better teaching in Christian circles, a lot of these problems would be avoided.

Christ does live in me but Satan can also try to live in one. Just because God lives in you, doesn't mean Satan isn't going to try to turn you. Believe me, if believing in God was all it takes to never have to have the devil annoy, hurt, or attempt to convert me, then my life and, in fact, everyone's lives would be perfect. This current Earth is not the New Jerusalem. So yes, while Christ is existent right now in us that won't block Satan from getting to us and invading us. Just look at Paul. He was deeply disturbed and persecuted Christians, most likely blinded by the devil, but then he found Jesus Christ and became one of Jesus Christ's most closest followers.

Point is, the devil will continue to try to get to us and confuse us regardless of how strong our faith is.

I'm also a tiny bit offended that you are thinking that I should possibly change my pen name. Do you want it to say, "SatanLivesInMe"? Because that's how it sounds like. I think you're a bit wrong in saying Satan won't ever invade a human because God is there. While God is infinitely stronger, that doesn't mean Satan will give up. So unfortunately, I have to disagree with you.

Draw on a superior power -- read the Words of Jesus, each day, and listen to the words with all of your heart, and keep them in your mind, repeating what He said to you. Start here: Matthew 4 NIV (Christ defeats all of Satan's temptations) ... and then keep on reading. Take your time. Dwell on every word He says. Each day read some more, truly listening.

You’re absolutely correct and the apostle Judas is a perfect example of this.

Also, John 6:66 says that many of Jesus disciples turned away from him.

(Mar 1:23) And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
(Mar 1:24) Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
(Mar 1:25) And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

(Jas 4:7) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

as a reborn believer, you have authority over the devil; follow Jesus' example, and when these thoughts come up, tell the devil "in the Name of Jesus, shut up and get out of my mind!" - you may have to do this repeatedly before he leaves you alone the first time.

make a habit of praising God for every thing good you can think of - praise to God will also set the devil running:

(Psa 8:2) Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

do not give time to considering these thoughts when they come; what you focus on you magnify in your mind - so focus on God, not the devil.

you can also drown out the devil by focusing on scripture; here's a good one:

(Isa 54:17) No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

make it first person:

(Isa 54:17) No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment I condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

you can rid yourself of these thoughts if you'll use Jesus' authority against the devil and don't quit resisting him; God has faith in you that you can do this, that's why He chose you - always agree with Him!!! :)

Satan can't live in you unless you allow him through sinful living. When you offer yourself as a living sacrifice to God; holy and acceptable, Jesus, the Holy spirit and God will live in you so where will satan stay? all you need to do is to live in submission and obedience to God, satan will still bring subtle thoughts into your mind but if you resist him he will flee. You can only resist him if you know the truth. Read your bible very often to know the truth. God bless

That is different and I am glad that you made the distinction. Our bodies are now the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Satan is NOT allowed to enter, COME IN. Using the word "IN" when talking about satan's proximity to a believer is not a possibility. That is all I was saying. And, by the way, that is a Protestant position of understanding God's Word.

The other things you have clarified is what I have already said. Satan harasses, obsesses, and oppresses us. Satan CANNOT possess a believer.

If you are young in Christ as we all were once remember that just as with anything else one does not mature overnight. It is a hard and painful experience which cannot be avoided. And if you are young in Christ you need to thoroughly study God's Word BEFORE any other book or else you could easily be deceived or lost in misunderstandings. May I suggest this resource to help establish a solid foundation in God's Word: Transferable Concepts | Cru

It was created by Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ and has helped many babes in Christ, such as I, for decades. The study is known as Transferable Concepts now. You can get them compiled into a singular book or in separate booklets or free online in a condensed form in the link I just gave.

This is absolutely not true. Most Christians will have had demons indwelling at some time or other, and unless they are cast out, they will remain till they die.

It might be your denomination's position, but no, it is not a Protestant position.

I got involved in spiritual warfare back in the 70s, and have been casting demons out since that time, and every single person they came out of was a Christian. So don't talk nonsense that believers can't have demons in them.
And a word of warning, you are actually spreading a doctrine of demons, a theology introduced to the church by demons in order to ensure they can do their works of deception without fear of being cast out.

"You can be oppressed to some degree, but if you are a Christian, neither the devil nor a demon can ever take control of your life. When you placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you came under His protection. He placed His I.D. tag on you that says, "Property of Jesus Christ. Bought with the blood." Satan knows that and must back off." Pasted from: What You Need to Know about Satan's Limitations

IF you are FIRST fully grounded already in the fundamental truths of God's Word, read: https://www.amazon.com/Adversary-Christian-Versus-Demon-Activity/dp/0802401430

Delving into such matters ill-prepared can destroy one or get them off into a total deception. This is NOT entertainment reading or for those seeking adventure or experiential/emotional things. This is only need to know material when Spiritual warfare has been elevated beyond the fundamental preparedness. The knowledge gained if not needed could very easily gain you more trouble, sickness, and even death in your life which would have never come your way. satan is always looking and trying to take down the most dangerous enemies any way he can. One of the most dangerous enemies is one who knows the advanced material, has better "intelligence," from such books. Read ONLY if needed.

Our battles with satan should always be FIRSTLY with the armor and the weapons of the power of being saved, our deciding and committing to living a righteous life, living a life of truth, preparation/study of the Gospel, exercising faith in God to protect us and helping us to defeat satan's attacks, and using God's Word just as Jesus did to defeat satan when Jesus was tempted , and not cease in prayer Ephesians 6:10-18. We need to employ Romans 12:1-2 CONSTANTLY and in that CONTINUALLY make assessments of how much control we are allowing the Holy Spirit to have in our "temple" 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 for Him (and Romans 8:9) see: https://www.gotquestions.org/body-temple-Holy-Spirit.html; how much we, and others, see of the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-25 being characterized in our behavior. Remember always that God has has promised us that He has provided a way out of ANY temptation which comes our way, 1 Corinthians 10:13, we must exercise the prowess and tenacity and incentive to find it, regardless of how hard or impossible it seems OR how long it takes, sometimes, decades. And we NEVER should forget James 4:7, and that Jesus promised to NEVER leave or forsake us. If one is really saved then they have already exercised enough faith to make the last sentence's points effective and real.
