So only preachers need to refrain from sin? Everyone else is free to sin all they want? Is that what Paul is teaching here?
So you don’t see a problem with a complete absence of your theology for 1500 years?
What about,
“But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.”
Ephesians 5:3-5
Yes.
That faith is THE "renewed mind"........its not the first faith, that God accepted to save a person.
This verse is also connected to "dead faith" that James speaks about, which is a believer who is backslidden.
Paul teaches this term "castaway", and that is a Demas, who is born again, yet left discipleship behind because he wanted the world.
Once again.
Paul's epistles, were with the original 12.
This is before "polycarp" and Origen.
John teaches Paul's theology.
Because He learned it from Paul.
All the apostles did.
I was giving an example.....regarding both Preachers and not.
We are to be a light in this world, and this requires a pure life.
As i said.
Read more carefully.
Try something new.
Paul says...>"Use not your liberty for an occasion to the flesh".
So, how do you do that if you are born again? Well, some would go and download porn.
Others would check out Netflix and watch a "R" rated movie.
See that being done? That is an "occasion to the flesh".....its a choice to enjoy some carnality that Paul defines as "works of the Flesh".
He also says this..>"Christ always gives me the Victory".
So, there is such a thing as Salvation, which is God making you Righteous, with the Blood of Jesus.
Then there is how you behave later, after being made Righteous.
Not all the born again behave., and Paul was talking to the church he founded about this.....>He was being a spiritual father (Pastor) to his spiritual children.
Every Sunday people leave their denomination.
From mon to sat, they DECIDE how they will live.
God does not decide this for them..........they choose it for themselves.
Will they live each moment during that week for GOD, or will they live some of it for God. ??????
And when they are not living it for God, they are in the flesh, enjoying it.
They are these....= "do not use your liberty for an occasion to the Flesh".............
They are in fact having a lot of "occasions to the flesh".
That's your typical carnal believer.
No it’s simply the same faith in Christ mentioned throughout the scriptures over and over again. Your only saying this because you refuse to admit when you’ve been proven wrong.
Your only saying this because you refuse to admit when you’ve been proven wrong.
John learned from Jesus Himself and both he and Paul received their teachings from the Holy Spirit.
It's the "For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.”
Well, there are a lot of misguided "christians".
Look at the verse...i'll paraphrase......>"there are no sinners going to Heaven".
So, how is that possible, when its only a SINNER Who God's Saves.
Here is the thing.
Verses are parables.
Verses are symbolic
Verses are literal
Verses are analogy
Verses are prophetic
And this is why God says to "study to show yourself approved"
The "approval" is..... to have learned how to "rightly divide" the verses, so that you dont mis-apply them.
All theology that is cult or heresy, is just the misapplication of a verse.
That's what causes all heresy, and most "new" denominations to pop up.
But wasn't Paul telling born again Christians that if they are immoral or impure or covetous, an idolater, they will have no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God?
You are confused.
Im not trying to prove im right.
That is your game., as you need to be evaluated like that, but, i dont.
Im only here to teach Pauline Theology, and thats what im doing.
It disagrees with you, so, that is what you perceiving.
Nope because every time I’ve included scriptures written by Paul himself to support my theology. You the one inventing something sort of pseudo-faith
Well, let me explain it.
YOu are a person, self defined, who esteems the greek texts and the church father's, as superior to Paul and the New Testament.
So, as you are not a student of Paul, you do not understand the reason that Jesus called this man to be an apostle when He already had 11 of them.
I do understand this, as that is why i teach Paul.
First of all there were 12 apostles not 11..
What you just said is a deceit.
Here is what happened.
You gave up on trying to have a conversation a while back, and now you just keep writing that you proved something.
Well, you didnt.
You only proved that your theology isn't theologically in line with the NT, regarding "Soteriology", as defined by Paul as "justification by faith alone, without works".
Yes.
That faith is THE "renewed mind"........its not the first faith, that God accepted to save a person.
This verse is also connected to "dead faith" that James speaks about, which is a believer who is backslidden.
I’m sorry but did you or did you not just define the word faith in Hebrews 6:1 as being different than the word faith in Colossians 1:23?
Im always clear about this answer..
I always define the Gospel as Paul's.
He teaches it as "my Gospel".
This is the "preaching of the Cross".
Its the teaching that Christ who is God.... came as virgin born, shed his blood, was crucified, died, and rose again for the sin of the world ... John 3:16.... and as God's only Way to heaven.
John 14:6
