Sad news...need some prayers

Hi all,

My dad rushed my mom to the emergency room on Wednesday, and it's been a whirlwind of tests and emotions ever since.

She has definitely been diagnosed with COPD and Emphysema. Hardcore smoker...since she was nine years old.

During the testing they decided to do a CT scan and they found a large tumor in her right lung. They're very sure it's cancer and if they find it anywhere else in her body, they aren't going to operate.

She's a good woman. She just made some bad choices.

I ask for you guys to lift her up and hopefully it will be God's will that they don't find cancer anywhere else. She has quit smoking (HUGE event.....she's never quit since she started) and she knows she can't ever smoke again. I'm praying for her to keep it up, because she has 6 grandbabies that sure love her a lot (not to mention three daughters and three sons-in-law).

My older sister is driving from Colorado and should be here any time. So I pray for her safe trip as well.

Lainie, I will keep you and your whole family in my prayers. While it may be true that your mom has made some bad choices, we all can surely empathize.....your mom is not alone. We all have made bad choices. May the Lord be a strong tower for you all.
