The cross is everything to the Christian. There would be no resurrection without it. The life, death and resurrection is the gospel not just the resurrection. Your talking points are worthless to me.
No 'change' was made to an entity that didn't exist at the time you postulated it did. I'm not going to consider the fables you keep repeating about X keeping Y when Y didn't exist in their tenure. You're the one who has built your argument on the Catholic Church, and you're the one who keeps running away from your own argument. If you want to call it a 'straw man', then realize that it's of your own making, and you should retract it once you concluded it has no merit.You and your straw man arguments that you think I must be able to see for some reason. The 7th day was kept by nearly all Jews and Christians in the 1st century. By the 4th century, Christians had abandoned the 7th day for the 1st day so a change was made. This is a fact of history which you are trying so hard to deny. A 'CHANGE' was made.
It is not possible for anyone to 'change' anything that doesn't exist within their tenure. Your opinion is dependent on claims you attribute to the RCC, and is in variance with Scripture.Keeping the Sabbath...
The days were changed by the Catholics.
Well I triple dog dare you, homeslice!
Basically he said yes. It appears you've no intention of following through.Well I triple dog dare you, homeslice!

I've done all I can to illustrate the fallacy of your own argument. The expected result is that you can't support it, and you don't even understand it.He majors in semantics, what a spiritual giant! Jesus had some words for you who strain the gnat and swallow a camel! I would be ashamed of my Christian heritage too. I guess the crusades were the will of God!
The 7th day Sabbath was kept by every member of the early church. Therefore the 7th day Sabbath is part of the new covenant. It was kept by Jesus, all the disciples and Paul and John and no mention is ever made that it was changed or stopped. Would you like to go thru all the Sabbath references in the NT?
It has been shown this simply isn't true with supporting evidence from the very same sources you cite.This is a good point and is probably why even the pro-Sunday sources in my signature line admit to the continuation of the 4th commandment and even admit that the 7th day Sabbath was kept by mankind from Eden to at least the cross of Christ.
in Christ,
Bob

"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath"
27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
Pharisee Shaul says similar language;
8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
Did the Sabbath come from man like his wife? Adam did not meet his wife of his dream until he obeyed Sabbath and fell into a deep sleep; while he was resting L-rd G-d made a woman from his rib,
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[g] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath; a man must rest before he can receive his help mate?

Correct me if I'm wrong. You're saying that the female was not created with man on the 6th day?![]()
What do you mean by.... a man must rest before he can receive his help mate?You are wrong, the woman was created on the 6th day, since G-d rested on the 7th day. Again, G-d completed all of his good work on the 6th day.
Gen 1:27
So God created humankind in his own image;
in the image of God he created him:
male and female he created them.
Cool, a two day Sabbath day....Of course, those of us who truly honor Sabbath, understand that Sabbath actually begins on the 6th day.
We are all saved by grace but even God has laws to govern his people!
Even Jesus believed the sabbath would still be binding upon his followers after he was gone. Read Matthew 24:20
May God bless you as you follow HIM.
Are you presenting a lesson in absurd logic?What is so hard to understand and accept about God's Sabbath? Did God sacrifice His only Son for naught? Please open you understanding! If the law (which is not just the Sabbath day, by the way) was nailed to the cross then how can you sin since sin is the transgression of the law? (Rom. 4:15, 1John. 3:4) If you cannot sin then you have no need to repent. If there is no need to repent, you have no need for forgiveness. If you need no forgiveness, you have no need for grace. If you need no grace then you certainly have no need for Christ. Now you realise you have no need for Christ, go back in to the world and enjoy what it has to offer and leave Jesus, his grace, forgiveness, transformation, and laws for us true Christians.
Christians ARE forbidden to kill and steal by the law of the land, AND BY GOD. If you accept this then you MUST accept the commandments are still binding and WERE NOT nailed to the cross. If on the other hand you still believe they were nailed to the cross then you must accept it is ok for you to call God's name in vain, worship idols, make false images etc.
A diligent study of Hebrews 8:10-12 tells us what new covenant we are under. Have you anti-Sabbath people ever asked yourselves what laws God wrote in our hearts and why?
Colossians 2:16 MUST be read with verse 17 in order to understand what Paul is actually saying here. Some laws were nailed to the cross, including SOME Sabbath days. But which ones and how do we know?
Study your Old Testament and you will find the Jews had more than one Sabbath day. You will also find an interesting fact: ONLY THE SEVENTH DAY WEEKLY SABBATH HAD NO DRINK OR MEAT OFFERINGS ATTACHED TO IT. (Ex.20:8-11) vs (Lev.16:29-34, Lev.23:1-44)
Now study what Paul wrote in Hebrews 9:11-10:17. While you're reading that why not compare Colossians 2:16-17 with Hebrews 10:1)

By rest you must be referring to sleep.Remember the parable of the "neighbor" Yeshua told the LAWyer? If the LAWyer do likewise like the "neighbor" he will inherit eternal life.
Luke 10
36 Of these three, which one seems to you to have become the neighbor of the man who fell among robbers? 37 He answered, The one who showed mercy toward him. Yeshua said to him, You go and do as he did.
No, Adam rested on the 6th day, G-d rested on the 7th day. Does not Sabbath begin on the 6th day and continues until the 7th day? Amen.
What's Luke 10 have to do with this? Your quote about Adam's rest was.....
