You misunderstood.Almost all the Apostles, and many of the seventy, suffered martyrdom. You seem to have a very secular understanding of what it means to enjoy God's peace.
Which nations were these and when? There was one or more countries though, out of all the nations, for a time, that honored YHWH'S WORD, as a nation.
The Bible has two verses, one of which references meeting on the first day of the week to break bread, and the other referencing the Lord's Day. We know that these verses mean a weekly gathering because of other first century writings by the Church."The Church is above the Bible; and this transference of Sabbath observance to Sunday is proof positive of that fact.
Okay. And???? Pope's don't always speak infallibly. He's mistaken and out of touch with the Magisterium."The Pope has power to change times, to abrogate (change) laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ." --- Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop.
Remember that at THAT time, the Catholic church was synonymous with the Christian church. It was the only game in town. The church in the Bible came to be called the Catholic church inside the first century."Distinctive of the Roman Catholic Church, Sunday Mass observance became a mark of a practicing Catholic." --- Dictionary of the Liturgy, Rev. Jovian P. Lang, OFM., Catholic Book Publishing Co., 1989,
Check the quote I gave earlier this thread. The apostles called the 7th day the Lord's day.and "The Lord's Day" is from the Greek and Biblical.
The Catholic Church persecuted Bible believing christians. They fled into the wilderness. There was no Catholic Church in first century.Remember that at THAT time, the Catholic church was synonymous with the Christian church. It was the only game in town. Who were these 'Bible believing christians'? Where can I read what they taught? The Catholic Church persecuted Bible believing christians. They fled into the wilderness.
There was no Seventh Day Adventist Church either, however there are many early references to the Church as being catholic and being orthodox, neither of which were used as nouns at the time. There was no Catholic Church in first century.
Foxes Book of Martyrs is propaganda which deliberately skips a huge chunk of Church history.Foxes Book of Martyrs has revealing truth about the early century's sabbath keepers I think.
Millions of them slaughtered by RCC during the dark ages.
SDA belief is the same as all the OT & NT saints who kept all of commandments of God (not some modified version) and believed in the messiah's advent.
In the end, it's not about being written in some mens' records. It's about being written in the book of life in heaven.
Why them ? Why just the SDA(if there was one or more) (Is it just because it's their thread or section or something?)I say oddly to the folks in the SDA who think they are keeping ALL of God's commandments.
Citation?Millions of them slaughtered by RCC during the dark ages.
Overcomer is the only one making the claim, no one else is, therefore it is his claim that lacks substanceIf , as it is the case, you cannot do this, your argument has no dilithium crystals.
A lot of claims .... and now this one.... perhaps it is correct -Overcomer is the only one making the claim, no one else is, therefore it is his claim that lacks substance
A lot of claims .... and now this one.... perhaps it is correct -
would you quote him where he made that claim ?
(I didn't see anyone , not even him, make that claim)

Nah. The ONLY time "The Lord's Day" (exactly that) is used in the Bible is in Revelation 1:10 and it doesn't say which day it refers to. You have to read the Apostolic Fathers to find out which day of the week is the Lord's Day.Check the quote I gave earlier this thread. The apostles called the 7th day the Lord's day.
Jesus said he is the Lord of the sabbath or Sunday?
Breaking bread is not a Havdalah service.Again that refers to the Havdalah service. The Jews came together after sabbath sundown, on Saturday evening, not on Sunday.
