Geez, that's so ambitious! I'm just sitting here, holding my newborn, trying to figure out if I can do a load of laundry before my husband gets home from work!
I hear you! At the end of everyday, I wonder how come I haven't had the time to do anything other than care for my baby!

Hi ladies, I will someday soon be a sahm. hopefully!

But after two months of being home with my little man, I sadly go back to work on this coming monday

I am hoping I can get my avon business up and running so I can work from home!

Keep me in your prayers!

Aww, I'm sorry Marezee! It sounds a little stressful. We too still have some things we are working on here and we've been here for 3 years. It'll lighten - just don't be too hard on yourself.
thanks KristiLee! i need encouragement!

I did a whole lot in my two months home with my little guy, my house is so clean!!! (I was lazy before he was born and my house needed a good scrubbing!)

I painted my front hallway, I cleaned carpets, and now I am tackling the downstairs bathroom. I have to peel all the paint and old wallpaper glue off of the walls, mud the drywall, and paint all by this saturday! Wish me luck!!! Oh, and this is the week I have to return back to work after my maternity leave.

My 3 y/o learned her first memory verse last night. She had it memorized in just 5 minutes! I've never been more inspired to memorize them myself! Now she and I can do it together!
that's great KLee!

I'm so lost...Nick is in school, Stephen is in preschool, and Jake is napping! LOL! it's soooo quiet in here! i just had a nice hot cup of tea. just relaxing and enjoying the peace!

Maybe go out and buy yourself a CD (or download if you have an i-pod or something like that...I don't...I'm still in the old school with CDs) of some great contemporary Christain rock. I find it fills up quiet, when I need noise, and leaves me inspired at the same time.

Sometimes I like the quiet. I'll get used to it! LOL!

Both Stephen and Nick absolutely LOVE school! I am so blessed! Stephen wishes he could go EVERY DAY! He is so cute! I have to pry info out of Nick about his day at school. Details, Nick, I want DETAILS!! LOL!!

I was wondering if any of you have to defend your choice to be a sahm? I've been a sahm for over 2 years now and realized that it took those 2 years for my mom to fully support our decision. She never criticized it out right but was subtle in thinking we couldn't afford it.

oh yes! it seems like i always have to defend my choice. My sisters and my mom all think i should be doing some kind of work either from home or outside the home. My mom and sisters always had jobs...even with small children. They cannot imagine being a full time SAHM. I tell them God made me their mother and it's my choice. I thank God that I CAN afford to stay home. If i worked with 3 boys under the age of 5, i'd be paying more in child care than i could get paid!!!!
Besides, it's very challenging and very rewarding. So i choose to ignore their comments!
It hurts though when they think i have all this "spare" time on my hands! They also think i can just "pick up and go" on a moments notice! that really gets my goat!

Yes, I have. Not to my immediate family (since they knew that we were going to do that before we got married) but to friends. Certain friends have suggested that I was putting too much on my husband's shoulders to provide for all of us, while others suggested he was controlling or oppressive by making me stay home...

Isn't that just silly?!

Yes, I have to defend myself with pretty much everyone I meet, except my family and church. It's not well seen by most people in Quebec to be a SAHM.

We, as SAHMs know that it's not easy "doing it all!" When and if you get a moment alone, what do y'all do?
Shower then work. That would be wear I diverge from the sahm mom part and turn into a wahm. If I don't have work to do for a client I sew, bead or read. Lately this has been very rare.

I'm a home schooling mom, the only way for me to get a moment alone is to leave the kids with hubs and go off on my own. When I do that (which is once a week) I usually go get a latte , and then go for a ride and usually end up browsing around different stores where I can't buy anything!
