CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Probably the greatest band ever. I have every album, a great deal on vinyl, framed and up on wall, the dvds, and have read three of Neil's four books, with the fourth sitting on my desk. Heres hoping I have time to get to it before he can write another one.

Rush is a pretty sweet band. "2112" is a masterpiece! They are legends! Nothing else needs to be said.

I absolutely love the song,"the Pass" also "Closer to the Heart".
I have never heard them in concert and I sure would love to. My favorite CD from them is "Grace under Pressure".

Rush is one of my favorite bands. I've seen them twice, and I hope to catch them this year.
I'd say I truly discovered Rush when I was in college (1992-1997), when I picked up Chronicles. I listened to the first cassette tape (which is their 70's stuff) over and over.
That's not to say I didn't know of them before, since Tom Sawyer was a staple on the radio stations I listened to the most.
La Villa Strangiato blew me away, and probably single-handedly made me a fan up to this day. That and the Overture portion of 2112.
