(((I'm not sure what Joseph should be doing, so....I suppose he'll leave the tavern!)))
Joseph stood abruptly, turning to the girl who had latched herself onto his arm.
"I'm sorry, miss, but I must be leaving....I have other things to take care of." he said. He then headed for the door.
No one could ever find out what he was....it was a cursed existance. He had to hold back doing everything, just to seem human. If he hadn't have held back in the tavern, he might have ripped the girl's arm off her shoulder.
It was also a pain, abstaining from human blood....There were so many around him, every day! He felt light-headed, groggy, the scent of blood overwhelming him. His eyes were suddenly alive with panic, searching the people's faces around him. A low snarl was emiting from his chest. Joseph tried to hold back, but the scent of blood was getting to him.
He quickly raced down the alleyway, covering his nose and mouth with his hands. He was already tempted enough, and he was trying to get his senses under control.
Then, he heard something hard hit something, and a woman's scream. Another hit, another scream. It was close by, in the same alleyway.
Joseph arrived to see a man holding a woman in a cloak up against the wall. He was hitting her in the leg with his arm, hitting it repeatadly, as she cried out in pain.
In a flash, Joseph was there. His powerful grip held the assailint's hand to the wall, the bones snapping loudly in his grip. The man cried out, until Joseph's arm was up against his neck, suspending the man in midair, holding him against the wall. The man reached for Joseph's arm, trying to claw it off, to get a breath.
"Run." Joseph said to the woman. She nodded, the tears from the beating streaming down her face. She didn't run, she limped away from them, to seek medical attention. Her leg was bruised and gangly, and it was twisted around in an abnormal way.
"What. Were. You. Trying. To. Do?" Joseph said through clenched teeth.
"To make her immobile..." the man said in a squeaky, breathy voice.
Joseph closed his eyes, and smirked. "Too bad for you....I'm thirsty. It's been a while since I've had human blood. Normally, I abstain from it....I can't imagine drinking the blood of an innocent human. But, you sir, are not innocent!!"
The man screamed as Joseph's fangs plunged into his neck.

Lord Edward arrived in Border Mulan, the town that seperated the two nations. He was supposed to meet someone important here today, and so he was planning on booking a room at the inn. All this was going according to plan perfectly, but he would need to meet with this person before he became king. A king just doesn't go running around to other nations willy-nilly, Edward thought to himself.
He walked to the nearest inn, and booked a room for the night. He waited outside te inn for his business partner to arrive.
