Rules about posting links

I have a question.  Is there a rule against posting links in your messages?  I did read the Forum Rules and there is no rule against posting religious links, except for links to websites in profiles and signatures, or the obvious offensive links.  The reason I ask is because I remember seeing somewhere on CF, when I was first signing up, some type of restriction about posting links, but I don't remember anymore.  I have a very short memory about stuff like this.

Ken, thanks for the reply.  I just read the thread and I'm still not clear on something, maybe I'm just a bit thickheaded, but does the "here." I quoted below stand for just the New Member Introductions" or is this rule of not posting links aplly to all  forums of CF?   

Also make note that you are not allowed to post a link to any webpage (be it a personal site, your church's site, another messageboard you frequent, etc.) here.

posting personal sites and church sites go in the favorite links section. if you are posting about something and wish to make reference to back something you say up you may post the link in the thread as long as it is considered adding to the conversation. hope that clears it up. my head's still groggy from having my wisdom teeth out earlier today but hopefully that makes sense.
