Sierra knew where her brother had gone, and she quickly sent two servants to spread rumors that the daughter of an important high-ranked friend would be staying at their chateau.
She ran a hand through her copper locks and stood at the door of the stables. The clouds were thick and grey overhead, blocking out the last rays of sunlight. Sighing deeply, she left the door open and sat on the corral bars under the overhang, running her hands along Fay's satin muzzle.

Lath slumped over in a corner of his cell. Despite his confident exterior, Migel had hurt him more than Genevieve knew . . . Migel had paid him a little 'visit' and when he left, Lath could hardly sit straight, and could not stand. His forehead rested against the cold stone wall, and he let the trickle of cold rainwater run over the back of his neck, cold and stinging the scratches. He tried to touch the cut below his eyes, but he could not spread his fingers -- at least two had been dislocated and the whole hand was swollen.
Lath began to pray.

Sabre grimaced at the dark clouds gathering overhead, and nodded towards Neera. Halting the horses for a moment, he dug a heavy cloak out of his saddlebag and handed it to her. A forest green color and silky to the touch, it was as tough as leather and shed rainwater better than a roof. She draped it about her shoulders and smiled at him, the hood falling over her eyes. "It's rather big," she laughed.
"It will have to do," Sabre returned.
"What about you?"
"Me? Afraid of these little cotton-balls?"
A moment later, a sheet of icy water fell about them and Neera couldn't resist a grin at his downcast expression. The grey haze surrounded them in a fog so dense that even familiar ground looked strange. You couldn't see beyond five yards, and only the horses kept them from getting lost. About half an hour later, they came to a steep drop-off and the mist opened for a moment, revealing the valley the chateau was in -- rising gently at first and then more swiftly, until at the rim it would be too steep to climb. A small stream rushed and leapt among the stones at the bottom, and the entire depression was covered in rich green grass, where many horses could be seen.
"How far is it?" Neera asked.
"About an hour and a half," Sabre replied. "With a good horse." They began the treacherous descent via a small path clinging to the edge of the cliff face.

Genevieve looked at Migel and looked at Sir Martin, "Follow me quickly!"
She turned around and hurried the rest of the way up the stairs and to her bedroom. When he got in she quickly closed the door and locked it.
"Now you said that you were spying on France, who are you spying for and why? Anwser me that and I may have a job for you." With that Genevieve went to sit on her chair and waited for him to respond.
