  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, look at the bright side - at least you're taking it in stride = character growth.

Plus, this means an extra gift for you at Christmas.
It is indeed a gift to see the growth. I realized this year that the happiness of others in relationships has nothing to do with God's particular providence to me - that's His own special blessing come day by day. And yes, God delaying in this is a blessing, even if I don't always understand it. Being with Him is the greatest of blessings. Though I'd be elated to have more, that's icing on the cake of God's greatest blessing.

Well, it's come 'round again - now my younger brother is getting married. It's cycled through 3 of four children in the family now.

I must have grown some, though - unlike the last sibling, this time when it came I started with being happy for them rather than simply struggling for myself. Yes, he can be taught!

Yeah.....well.....you know how it is. They always tend to save the best for last, yah kno.....

Ha - I saw your thread title and didn't know if "Round again" meant "I'm back after being away" or "I've gained back the weight I've lost." Anyway, good to see you here again.
ROFL - That had me laughing out loud and grinning ear to ear - I've never even resembled round, having been the lean man most of my life! For me to be round, I'd have to be smuggling basketballs.... :^)

I have been away a while, though. Thanks for giving me that smile - it's a good one.

Your quote beats my old one - years ago I used to wonder about the last of those 7 clean animals they took onto the ark.... Everybody else gets off the ark 2x2, while the last guy looks around, makes sure they get off safely and that the ark is ready to be put away. As he finishes sweeping up, Noah calls - "Hey you, get over here, we need you!" Glad to help after spending a couple of months watching his compatriots moon over one another and without much to do, he trots over to Noah. Sure 'nough, sacrifice time - go figure, everyone else is occupied! :^)

All in all, though, much better never married than badly married! Praise the Lord for that!
