Yes. I think it is just me and my quirky perceptions in the workplace, though. (I doubt that they are actually using acidic upchuck as a key ingredient in those two flavors ... at least I would hope not )

For instance, I appear to be the only one who gets hungry for pancakes whenever I walk through the filler room as they are producing Big Red.

I never had that in second grade or any grade! What kind of school did you go to? Now I feel robbed...okay not really...but kinda lol

Indeed they do. I've never tried it as I'm generally not a fan of alcohol but I've heard about it, and have seen bottles of it. A friend of mine who is living in Russia told her friends there that she was craving root beer and they thought she meant an alcoholic drink rather than the sugary soft drink she meant. Have you tried it?

No, surprisingly. Although I guess you could just spike regular root-beer with a little vodka. Lol.

I don't drink it super often, but sometimes nothing's more refreshing then a cold glass of root beer.

We actually had a shop here in town for a while, they had hundreds of types of root beer imported from all over the country - including their own that they make, which is super good. AFAIK, they still produce it and sell it at another store even though they closed their shop down.

I love Root Beer. A&W is the best that I have tasted, in my opinion. I have leaned off the soda tho, but when ever I'm out and its available, its going down the hatch in 60 seconds flat.

It's going on my list.

Being so young then, one of the few things I recall about the 50's is the family going to A&W for delicious frosty mugs of Rootbeer. Never left the car...curb service and just hung the tray of mugs on Dad's car door. We must have gotten Hamburger/Hotdogs too, but I only remember the Rootbeer.

When I went to a Christian boarding school in Kentucky, I was introduced to the sassafras root that grows wild there. Chew the root and it immediately screams Rootbeer...I assume the main flavoring. Carbonated sassafras tea? Maybe.
