Welcome to ... The Second Death in the Lake of Fire
IMO, the following is Father God speaking to EVERYONE (BACs included) ...
Revelation 21:
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death.”
And who is he who overcomes? The one who has, by grace through faith, been placed in the Great Overcomer, Jesus Christ, the Saviour. He is our redemption, justification and sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30) . He is the believer's very life (Colossians 3:4; John 15:5).
In him, all born-again children of God are overcomers.
This is where you and I differ most widely. You think you've got something to add to Christ, to his perfection and work at Calvary. Under the guise of the pursuit of holiness, you set yourself next to Christ, as co-Saviour, contributing your flawed, paltry self-effort to his glorious and finished atonement as the Lamb of God.
I, on the other hand, understand that the hymn writer was correct when he wrote, "Nothing in my hand I bring, only to thy cross I cling." I am acceptable to God only and ever because I am in Christ. He is the only reason God accepts me. God's standard is perfection and no one but Christ can meet that standard. To think, then, as you do that I can contribute to his perfection, make it more complete, and thus make myself more acceptable to God is to diminish Christ and blasphemously elevate myself.
The aiki, and many others, do NOT understand who the "overcomers" are!
They are NOT those spoken of in
1 John 5:4-5
... for those folks have ONLY overcome "the world".
Jesus expects far more ...
Revelation 3:
21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
Can you die for the sins of the whole world? No. Can any believer do so? Absolutely not. Who, then, can be like Christ, overcoming sin, the devil and death itself on the cross? No one. And this is why we need to be "in him," clothed in
his perfect righteousness, washed and renewed by his Spirit.
If there is one who does not understand what it means to "overcome," it is you BCsenior. Not content to be deceived yourself, you work to make others likewise deceived, preaching a false and blasphemous works-salvation. Be warned: God will reward you according to your deeds.
