Hi...J21 here...Julie in that lovely city of churches, Adelaide. In a suburb named after the Queen. Hubby would join in but he's a nightshifter so is snoring away in the bedroom at the moment.
Hi all!

Welcome to Cyber Corps Julie.

Tell us a little about Adelaide SA.

What do you do in your corps

Hi Andy...I have been around here before [J21]but never seemed to link up with people - maybe due to the time zones. It was during the build up excitement Sascha and you guys were involved in with her engagement and trip to the UK.
Anyway...ubby and I are both Soldiers. I started up the Junior Youth group just over 2 yrs ago and run it Friday nights with 2 wonderful helpers and several who are willing to fill in if needed.
I called it 'The Gate Youth Group'... "One Gate - One Way". Always loved John10:9 so gave it that name, though it's probably been used somewhere before. Oh well..
Adelaide is a great city...a lot of people think it's pretty quiet and boring, but I like it like that and we get a lot of tourists so they must like the laid back ethos too!
We live in an outer suburb and head 20 minutes "up the hill" to our Corps at Golden Grove.
Won't repeat all about my hubby's family history [long time] with the Army as I posted that somewhere in Cyber Corps last year and am too tired at the moment to rehash it all. Probably gathering dust bunnies in the archives somewhere around here.
That sums me up I guess...
Heading off to bed...it's been a long day and there are a few of them to come.
Night Andy.

Night Andy.

Great stuff.

And a youth worker as well....

Much admiration there.

I had to run youth club a few times when they were short staffed, and I know how tough it can be.

To continue the Roll Call. I'm Pat and my user name is made up from my SA membership and my birthday.

I'm really a horn player but I fancy being a virtual cornet or bass player. Which one is there a vacancy for bandmaster?

I can cover bass, but we always need more cornets.:)

I'll dig around the bandroom and find you one.

Do you have a favourite band piece?

well..... My name is Melissa. I grew up in The Salvation Army. I have many MANY warm memories.
Like someone else here said - if it was available, I was there.
Anyone from the southern territory?
I spent many summers at Camp Walter Johnson in my younger years, and a few at Camp Grandview.
I was enrolled as a senior soldier by Colonel Rodolph Lanier... a truly great man who left some real impressions on my life as to my self worth.
