One of the Robotech references went like this in the main Lutheran thread:

That's just one example of some of the crazy conversations I find myself in. :) Rechtglaubig is the other Lutheran Robotech fan.

Nice to meet some fellow Lutherans who are into anime in general and Robotech specific. I knew they had to be around somewhere. ;)

However, the series found it's way into Novel form and spanned 5 books if I remember right.

There was another book following this. I forgot what it was called. However, it joined all 3 original generations of Robotech and tied all the loose ends regarding the disappearance of the task force and all.
Yeah, the Sentinels was a five-book series, but the other four books that were released were:

#19: The Zentraedi Rebellion (between Macross and the Sentinels)
#20: The Masters' Gambit (between Sentinels and Masters)
#21: Before The Invid Storm (between Masters and Invid)
#18: End Of The Circle (after the Invid; joins all of the generations together and is probably the best one, IMO)

I actually had to dig out the box I kept all those novels in; it's been about five or six years since I've read them.

Oops...I actually forgotten about the other 4. :holy:

Although I think I did read the last. Just didn't find it too engaging.

I love Robotech. I watched all of them on t.v. back in the mid-eighties when I was in highschool. I got my brother hooked on it too, and he videotaped them all. We were just talking about how there are DVD's of the shows. I want to get the remastered DVD's. Looking forward to watching them again and learning to make the surprised sounds. Huh? mmm? ahh! I have a minmei and rick hunter doll somewhere. My brother has the valkyrie and the zentradi robot things. There were some neat toys that ended up in the bargain bins back in the late eighties/early nineties. I got my rick hunter and minmei dolls really cheap, like $8.99 at a toy store in the local mall.

Where I lived at the time here in the US, the Robotech series was taken off the air way back when right during the New Generation. Overheard it was due to complaints by parents over the episode where a human cyborg had gotten himself blown up while protecting Scott and the gang from the Invid. (I think I know which ep is was...even if I hadn't seen it. Think the guy's name was Dusty...?)

And I would've thought it was because of Lancer

When I was watching it the series always started over after Southern Cross ended. The Invid never came into it, save for that scene at the end of Southern Cross that was supposed to have been the Regis. I did rent the first New Generation tape from Blockbuster and watched that, though. I need to see the rest of it. I did read the books, however.

You guys should see all of the silly Robetech references that end up in my rep comments and in my PMs. It's great!

When I played PS2 Everquest, my name was also Breetai. About half of the members in my guild had Robotech names. It wasn't uncommon to see a group of guys with the names Breetai, Khyron and Zolprime running around killing monsters.:)
It's funny that I have never run across you on everquest I have played it at my friends house for years. my screen name is max sterling.

Could that be because I was playing the Playstation 2 version of Everquest?:)

I only dabbled in the PC game for a couple of months.

If it was the PS2 game that you were playing, then you were probably on a different server than I was.

I liked the little girl in GENESIS CLIMBER MOSEPA. I would love to get the entire series on DVD.
Annie(I uploaded a picture)?

I'd got the Macross Saga on DVD(purchased, that is). The rest I do have on DVD, just not the retail versions unfortunately.

I'm a little curious how someone from the generation ahead of mine gets into Robotech at all? Did you have kids 10-20 years ago that watched Robotech on TV and then get into it yourself? No offense meant of course, I'm just wondering. Or did you get into Mosepa(Mospeda) on it's own?

For some strange reason, I never caught a single episode of Robotech 2nd Gen. or Southern Cross. I liked Macross, but always preferred the Legioss Fighter in Mospeada to the Valkyries in Macross. But in my opinion, the coolest piece of equipment are the M.O.S.P.E.A.D.A. Ride Armour themselves.

3D Robotech? Sorry...but "blah"! I don't really like that 3D stuff much. I much prefer the old style.

I agree... for some 3D has a different feel about them. Maybe if they only use 3D animation for battle scenes (something like Vandread or Macross Zero), that would still be pretty cool.
