Fauci was given a pardon because of the insane vendetta the right, particularly MAGA faction, has waged against him with every indication of continuing it into persecution.

Or, and follow me here, Fauci was given a pardon because he did many things that were highly questionable, and his buddies in the bureaucracy didn't want him to have any accountability for any of it.

I'm not sure what's funny about Fauci doing highly questionable things.

Perhaps the worst was that he funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan (which is almost certainly why the pardon dates all the way back to 2014) and then lied to Congress about it.

Unfortunately, there are enough uninformed people that will continue to promote the idea that Fauci was a "hero" no matter what evidence is presented to the contrary.
