Remember Rachel Dolzeal?

She is white but claimed to be black, and her parents publicly shamed her.

I don’t see that much different from transgender nonsense.
Well hopefully parents aren't publicly shaming their transgender kids. There is a high suicide rate there and shaming them will dramatically increase the chances of suicide.

Personally, I find being supportive of children as a better parenting option than public shame and ridicule although I really haven't tried that later approach. Not my style.

I agree no one should be shamed. Some parents may feel deeply hurt and embarrassed if their child came out as transgendered.

As I stated before, it must be further researched.

I find being supportive of the people you love is the right approach, forget about yourself, it's about them. If you are feeling deeply hurt, or embarrassed, just get over yourself. Do what you can to get your kids feeling comfortable and supported. Love them, be PROUD of them. be genuinely PROUD

Proud of what? Them mutilating themselves because of feelings? Just, no. I can understand why some parents would be deeply upset.

It does more harm than good.

Proud of your kids, for being happy, for getting on with life, for finding a path to happiness.

Just be proud of your kids, they aren't there to please you, or live life the way YOU want them to. You are there for them, not the otherway around.

Selfish parents are the worst.

Selfish for not wanting their child to permanently mess up their life?

No. Just. No.

Also, we are getting off topic.

A bunch of stories from people who don't like Kennedy as far as I can tell
did you get to the part where his advocacy against vaccinations (in the wake of the error you mentioned before he arrived) resulted in an outbreak that killed dozens of people?
