Anyone here like Rita Springer's music? I love Created To Worship and my favorite song is Moving with the Lamb.

When I first heard her CD "Created to Worship" I was in the christian bookstore. I was so moved by it! I had to have it, so I ordered it!!!

I'm a big fan of rita's but I don't like that one.
My favorite is holy visitation but it is hard for me to choose. She sings with more passion than any other christian artist I can think of at the moment.
I use her songs in a messianic fellowship and it works well. The one thing that you MUST have when doing any songs by her is a lot of passion. Otherwise, it doesn't work.

Let me rephrase what I said about Rita
When playing any of her music, PASSION is the main ingredient. You can play all the notes correctly and it comes out lame if you sing it without everything in your gut.
She is the only artist I've ever heard like that. I can "copy" almost anyone but I found that Rita is quite unique in that regard. I can't "go through the motions" on one of her songs....even though they are musically very simple...almost to the point of being moronically simple arrangements.

I also really enjoy Rita's worship... I saw her in Metarie, LA leading worship at a conference I went to... It rocked... I think some of the old "Adam's Lament" band played with her... it was quite amazing... anyway... yeah...

I would love to see her in concert...she has been to Karen Wheaton's place called "The Ramp" which is not far from here but when she was there I knew nothing about her.

Yeah, Rita is very free in worship... she often sings out prophetically... and she doesn't let the music or flow control her, but rather the voice of the Lord...
