We have our first names & our wedding date engraved in both rings.

Ours have "S.D.G" engraved, followed by our first names and our wedding date.

SDG stands for "Soli Deo Gloria". =)

His says "Beloved," like from the song of solomon. But now I think it sounds like a tombstone. Mine says "Hubba Hubba," because we say that to each other when we're silly.

Mine isn't engraved because it's 3 skinny bands sautered together (the middle band having the solitaire), but his says "I am my beloved's."

well mine has someone elses wedding details on it.

It was my great gradmothers - she died when I was 17, not long before I met my dh. So we engraved her wedding details on it before we were married, just to remember where it came from.

It says W & M 3 - 6 - 1922

and boy did it hurt getting my engagement ring off to check - it's summer, really hot, and my finger swelled a little with the heat. Plus the engagement ring is a weird design so is always hard to get off. That an we got it made small purposefully so that it wouldn't come off easily (seemed romantic at the time - but a pain when you're giving birth, operations and stuff - both c-sections I had to cover it cause of swelling and summer).
