  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Rick Warren represents us?

what's really silly about all of this - it isn't as if Rick Warren is going to be setting policy - he's saying the invocation/prayer - that's all

rather minor in the grand scheme of things

thank goodness for that...^_^

and you're quite right...it is silly...but much of what the fanatical left pushes is...and any and every perceived affront to their agenda...is gonna be met with the highest pitched squeeky wheel they can come up with.

Hi AnneSally!!
well he went to the gay pastor to get advice 2 mos. back...
which was widely publicized.

So that's why I think they're having fits over him not picking him
at the inauguration.
I don't feel sorry for Obama tho - maybe he'll get a real sense of
the party he's been serving & see some "light".
??

Either way, my hope is firmly placed in the Lord - becuz I truly
don't see any leader being able to fix the mess this world's
gotten into on so many levels - financially, morally or politically.
I honestly think it's gone past the point of any return to
normalcy as we once knew it.
(I mostly say that becuz of prophecy tho) ;) :p

good to C U again

:hug::clap::wave:Nadiine!:hug::clap::hug::clap:

I missed you! Hope you haven't been thrown over any cliffs in my absence.;)

Yeah, we need to lean on the Lord more than ever now, maybe it's a good thing....that we can't take our cozy existence in these Western countries for granted anymore...:preach:

Either way, Happy New Year!! And may the Lord watch over us all in 2009 whatever happens!!! :prayer:

Agreed. We probably all worry about it far too much!
