Who can clarify this as I am completely baffled as to why CHRISTIANs are not allowed to post here...

Who said you can't post here? What I meant was that there is a safe area for Christians Only, if you don't like atheists on this site

I understand of course. Just thought your original question was a little strange...
Why should it be strange? Someone gave me the definition of an atheist as being one who lacks a belief in a GOD as different from one who denies GOD...

I was wondering what the difference in attitude would be.

All I can come up with from this information, unless someone can give me a clear answer and correct me, is that an atheist is indifferent (but there are many atheists here in which case, no they aren´t indifferent) in contrast to those who deny (which would be a rebellious attitude) there is a god.

Safe? What do you mean...safe?

Where did you draw the conclusion that I do not like Atheists? Please, from my posts, I would appreciate you identifying which post seemed to imply this...

Thank you

Who can clarify
Christians are as allowed to post here as the rest.
It's a section for both + Christians have the call to invite people.
Have you ever given a party and then asked people (that you invited to come)... "why are you here to begin with"? Well you invited them...

So if you don´t mind my asking, why even be on a christian forum to begin with?

Safe, would mean that someone means to do ME harm...
Doesn´t it?
These "safe areas" are pretty rediculous.
Do persons want to grow up or not?
Maybe they'd like to remain in Kindergarten all their lives.

Maybe they don't know that there's no such place as a safe area.

Our society is going a bit whacky.

What's the way to test & personally observe that truth?

Please note that I am seeking direct, personal observation of truth - not belief in claimed truth.
I understand about not wanting to confront some ideas because they could cause distress.

I understand that there's more peace if these ideas are not confronted.

But how does one stop their brain from thinking?

Mr Dawkins will soon discover that he was wrong all along. Again I wonder how an atheist can attribute any qualities of any kind to a God they do not believe exists. He is famous, educated, erudite and well able to present an argument. However, his arguments are just as specious as any other atheist. They start with an unprovable assumption and go downhill from there. He sees what believers see and comes to the opposite conclusion.
(Emphasis added)
Its very easy. Just as we can attribute characteristics to fictional characters in stories, based on how the author describes them, we can attribute characteristics to the Christian God based upon how he and his actions are described in Scripture.

You may reasonably question Dawkins interpretation of Scripture, but it is silly to question his ability to do so simply because he does not believe God exists.

Also atheism is a worldview (or more specifically a blanket term for a number of worldviews). I know a lot of atheists who don't like that idea either, but if atheism dictates the way you view the world, then it is a worldview and it does, so it is!
Not necessarily. I have a worldview. An atheistic attitude to the Christian God is one of many aspects of that worldview, but it is hardly the most important. I think I can state with reasonable confidence that my attitude to cauliflower and brussel sprouts has more impact on life than my atheism.

But that is not true of everyone. So I guess it could be determined by how much weight you give it, however it should be pointed out that you are on here conversing with people who disagree with you. I'm hoping that you don't have meaningful conversations with cauliflower (Brussel sprouts on the other hand...)

Also since you don't think you have enough information to make a decision on the God issue (agnosticism) then that is causing you to view the world in a certain way and that becomes a worldview.

You have it backwards. My worldview, founded on rational thinking, scepticism and science, led me to my agnosticism (and atheism towards all currently identified potential Gods) not the other way around. My dislike of brassicas predated anything that might reasonably be called a worldview, but contributed to its formation.

Aside: regarding conversations with cauliflower, I wouldn't call them conversations. I just tell them to back off and show them a video of slugs.

Your post #110 is dishonest...

You took two of my responses and pieced them together to support something that I did not even imply...
You asked why @ximmix would think you might not like atheists. He provided the post that led him to suspect that was the case. What is dishonest about that?

He may have been mistaken in his interpretation of your intention, but it is a plausible interpretation to make. I have been asked several times what I am doing on a Christian forum and there has usually been an implicit or explicit hostility in the question. (My thanks to those Christians who defended my right to be here on those occassions.)

It would have been more helpful if you had simply said, "Sorry. I can see how you might have misinterpreted my question. I was genuinely interested in what you were gaining from participating in the forum." That would have been preferable to accusing him of dishonesty. Not nice.
