I have copies of the revival but haven't gotten to watch them all yet. Do you know which night he discussed Rev 10?
I do not know which one but this is the general thrust of what he said and also what one of our previous ministers also said to us.
The book is sweet as it is taken into the mouth and then it is bitter in the stomach.
We need to remember that much of Revelation is symbolic but it was written to the seven churches who were real at that time. They were churches that had didffrent problems.
Now this text seems to be more inclined as to a ceratin period of time in the history of the Christian Church.
It is in the future from John's time, we cannot look back and apply it to an event in history before John's time.
In relationship to the rest of the chapter we see that this time period takes place towards the end of time.
The book here is the Word of God, the Bible.
I believe it be the time when the Christian Church taught that Christ was going to come back. It was music to their ears, it was sweet in their mouth.
But we know that Christ did not come back. October 22, 1844 came and went.
It then became bitter in their stomach. We know it as the "great dissappointment"
Sweet in their mouth, the Second Coming. Bitter in their stomah, the great dissappoinment.
If I have not explained this as well as I clear as I should please ask.
