basically ditto. rome/sea (gentile) beast under nero and the babylonian harlot/land (judea) beast under jewish leaders were allies for a brief period as both persecuted christians to the point of death.

nero was a monster and labelled "the beast" by contemporay romans themselves in no personal reference to revelation.

They have claimed to be the only hope for being peace and security. They threaten nations that do not abide by their authority and have expelled such nation that do not conform. They take part in wars etc.
