Question for preterists and the like.  How do you interpret this verse.  Thanks for your help.

In short, I believe this verse puts a timestamp on John's vision - That the events of Revelation (Apocolypse) were about to happen.

I will need to look up the greek "chronos" to refresh my memory here, but, I believe that as the angel saying, "Time's Up"! "No more Delay"!

Time had run out for that rebellious generation to repent and their judgment and the believer's vindication was imminent. God was MORE than gracious in giving them almost 40 years to turn to Him.

5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: Rev. 10:5,6

Got a chance to look it up, and yep, according to Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, "chronos" means 'a space of time', whether short or long. Vine's also has a note under the word 'DELAY' stating "In Rev. 10:6, chronos is translated 'delay' in the R.V. margin and should be taken as the true meaning.

I don't think this refers to the 'end of time' where time no longer exists, but rather that whatever has been waited for will finally happen and soon, i.e. without anymore delay.
