Don't suppose you'd be willing to show the use of the Tetragrammaton in the Peshitta would you?

For example, in Matthew 1:20 the Peshitta mentions the ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ (malaka d'mara), or "angel of the lord". And this is what one will find, the use of mar(a) or "lord". My source is here: Peshitta New Testament

And what do we find in the Peshitta's translation of the Old Testament? Well the very first use of the Tetragrammaton is found in Genesis 2:4, we find:

ܗܵܠܹܝܢ ܬܵܘ̈ܠܕ݂ܵܬܼܵܐ ܕܲܫܡܲܝܵܐ ܘܕܲܐܪܥܵܐ ܟܲܕ݂ ܐܸܬܼܒܿܪܝܼܘ: ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܲܥ̣ܒܲܕ݂ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܫܡܲܝܵܐ ܘܐܲܪܥܵܐ.

It's that word ܡܵܪܝܵܐ mara again, which I've underlined and bolded above.

I am pretty sure that God doesn't care if we call him God or Jesus as Jesus. I am English, I am not Jewish or Hebrew. Are names for them are God and Jesus.

Why are people so picky over this? Does saying some other name than what their native tongue calls them make them feel special or holier than thou?

Traditions over truth and commandments was the same problem the Pharisees had, along with thinking they already have all the answers..heck with traditions like pagan Holidays, we all have to unite in the only truth, kill the denominations and speculations, only one truth, and we gotta strive for that, not blindly believe a tradition passed down for generations, only believe The Word, not the Church over The Word.

I've read a Hebrew manuscript with vowel points that clear state the name of the Father as Yehovah and the name of the Son as Yeshua, so those are what was known to be their names as far as the Masoretes are concerned, which is good enough for me. However, in the Bible, a persons name had much more to do with who they were as a person and what their reputation was than what they were referred to as, so someone who knows the Son and what he has done, but mispronounces his name nevertheless has a much better understanding of his name than someone who pronounces it correctly, but doesn't know him or what he has done. It is not as though God is waiting around to answer our prayers until we get the incantation of His name right, but rather it is about having a relationship with the One that His name refers to.

Lol im not trying to convince you of anything, You were replyong to all my comments, its your job to knock, and it shall be opened, look and you shall find, i could debate you till the cows come home with tons of "substance", but im not going to it just ends up in many people mocking The Bible and they dont even realize they are doing it, so im done trying to convince people, Ive had 50 on 1 jumping down my throat before on these forums, and it just stresses me out, way I see it, His sheep will Hear His voice and they will come, and many who are only reading this not replying, may start searching for ultimate truth thereself now, ive alredy learned the ones who reply the most, are the ones who no matter what arent going to change thier way of thinking. Heres another reply lol...Hopefully ive replied enough to be able to make my own post now, hahaha, but here is a good verse from my memory that I believe is hapening right now, I think its zecheriah,..and He will gather His people from the east and the west and bring them all back to Jerusalem and it shall be called The City of TRUTH,.... its the time of the gathering together of the flock and we all are getting brought back to the city of Truth! Spiritual Jerusalem. Ive been doing some really good studys I hope to share with yall when im able to post. Haha
