Hey bev, I'm just realising this, Padey only posts against me...

Like I mean, all that study in the new testament is useless, and the only usefulness is against me...wow....

Padey's posts is absent from the muslim thread, from the social threads, ...

wow...like I mean, I'm doing engineering and even I can take on a muslim and be social in the social threads....yet Padey's incapable...

Padey...if you did study the new testament, shouldn't you be supporting the Christians in the forum, by being a bit more social, defending them against islam?

We all have to be very much aware of, and protected against islam. You know my feelings on that Jim. But, I don't think Padey is against you. Maybe you just have differing views on the Bible contents honey. And I believe Padey is quite knowlegable, just as you are.

I’m sure there are a lot more that we agree on than we disagree.

Either case, whether homosexuality is a choice or not, everyone is born into sin. Homosexuality is sinful, just as much as people lie and people steal...etc...we're all born sinful. Homosexuaity is not a mortal sin...

The only reason why most Christians can't percieve this, is because of Post Modernism, where they believe everyone is born good and has a little good in everyone. This is not the Biblical view, everyone is born sinful.

Do you even know what postmodernity is? It has nothing to do with “people thinking people have a little good in them”!

Can you name one recent published theologian that supports your points of view on homosexuality and postmodernity?

Postmodernism is about thinking everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe...

Exactly art. Now we can talk about homosexuals within the church in peace. I am strictly against any of them holding positions of trust. And, I was wondering if any churches who have homosexuals within their congregation have any type of councelling system going for them? Like...it's easy to tell some homosexuals isn't it? And, those who would attend a church are obviously christians. Sometimes, I guess they'd get some strange looks from folk. And, if they read the Bible, they'd read about themselves...they would need alot of support wouldn't they?
This has been on my mind lately.

Homosexuality is a hard one, you can't tell a homosexual to stop being gay...

The best way, is to have a person who has had the same experience and have them support them... and through the grace from God, he could be changed to lead a Christian life

Very true Jim. But, can't they be councelled and supported in some way apart from telling them not to be gay? Like...if they were born like it...they can't help it right? But, if they are practising it...? I'm really referring to the single homosexuals who love going to church and who do not practise. Know what I mean? Those who believe in Jesus and the Holy Spirit and who want to know all about God. Surely they should be encouraged?

They can be helped, thats the good thing. There is a counciling service...which I can't name... and they only support Christians that want to change.

They had a call once where the mother of a gay, rang in and said...can you have my son fixed by next week...

The thing is, it doesn't work like that...it's only there for those who would like to change!

Well...at least it's there Jim. That's the main thing.
Like...I went to bed last night and thought...'what if I'd been born gay and led a celibate life and loved Jesus...would I be turned away by Him? Was I condemned at birth? Would I read those words in the Bible and weep? How would I feel if I were a man and looked upon with disdain by folk I wanted to be my friends?' Know what I mean?
