  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Requesting prayers for my wife....

Getting ready to head out for Sharon's procedure. (It's too early in the morning, moan!) I will give you updates as the day goes along.

Thanks again for the all the prayers. God bless all here.
Praying now!

We just spoke with the surgeon---she said everything went swimmingly; all the diseased organs were removed robotically, no need for any large incisions. Sharon did well with the anesthesia, no problems. She is in recovery.

The surgeon said from what she saw, there was no spread of the cancer, so that's good news. They will send everything they took out to be biopsied, and we will get the results in a week or less.

So it looks like we'll be here for another couple of hours, and then we'll take her home and I get to play nursemaid, LOL.
Glory to God!

On our way home. She's feeling sick, but they said that's to be expected.

Now if we can just get out of this howling wasteland---this hideous, trackless city---and back into civilization with the wolves and the coyotes and hundreds of acres of forest, I'll be satisfied.

Did they give her something for nausea and pain?

Yeah, they gave her oxycodon (?) for pain; she's supposed to take Tylenol every three hours for the next two days as well.

Just before she went to bed she was almost back to her normal self, except for abdominal pain when she moved.

I hope she is not feeling too bad today. I know the day after things can be a little rough. Prayers continue! :praying:
She's doing very well today. :) Back to her usual self, but she feels very weak.

Oh, she's back to herself, Michie. :) I haven't done any nursing care in days now. She's still having some trouble with solid food and has pretty much stuck to stuff like smoothies, protein shakes, and fresh berries, but other than that, she's doing well. Still haven't gotten any pathology report yet, but we're waiting.

Prayers for your wife, Wolseley. Endometrial cancer is usually curable and has an 81% five year survival, but that doesn’t mean the treatment is not suffering.
I pray that you both grow closer together and closer to God in this. May Our Lady pray for blessing and strength for you both

We got a call from Sharon's oncologist/surgeon this morning. She said that they got all the cancer, that there is no spread, and that there is no need for further radiation or chemotherapy. :)

To say that my wife is relieved would be an understatement, lol.

Praise be to God, my grandmother had the same thing back in 1981. At the time, she had to have radium pellets placed in her for a time to make sure the cancer was gone. It worked well and she lived another 13 yrs and died of unrelated causes. I know how scary things can be.
Very happy that your wife does not need radiation or chemo

May God’s blessings and peace be with you both
