My son is having some difficulties with anger, well actually both of them. They both went through years of trauma at the hands of thier father. They lash out in anger and fight against adult authority. I've had them in counseling for the past two years and come under a lot of condemnation over their behavior by people who don't know the situation or how much better it has gotten. Please pray for God to help them overcome all the pain that they experienced and to make my little family of three stronger.
The second is about employment. I have recently applied with an agency and face a few obstacles in getting the job. One being a sitter. The other has to do with a situation that occured in the past that was out of my control. My prayer is that God will guide me in the right direction and touch the hearts of those involved, so that I can honor God in this work. I know deep inside that in this job I can make a difference for many people if given the opportunity.
Godfirst,
I am so very sorry for what you are going through. I understand how difficult it can be - especially being judged by others who do not fully understand the situation. I also understand what it is like to have a son with anger issues. My oldest has rage, and it seems most of his anger stems from abandonment issues - his biological father was in and out of his life, and though my son was not raised by him but was raised by me and his awesome Christian stepfather, still... there it is, and it's a confounding thing to witness, isn't it?
I'm most honored to pray for you and your two sons.
Father God,
I come boldly before your throne of Grace on behalf of my sister and her two sons. Lord, You know how Satan seeks out our young men with the sole intention of stealing their future in You; of killing them emotionally, psychologically, and physically; and to destroy their ability to see the clear path You have laid out before them.
But Lord, You promised in Romans
8:38-39, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate Godfirst and her two sons from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I accept that promise for them, Lord, and I ask on their behalf that You would step in between them and the enemy - remove the veils and expose the enemy and his schemes not only to this mom but most importantly to these sons, as it is their lives in particular the enemy is after.
Lord, You also promise in
Deuteronomy 31:8 , "It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
Finally, Lord God of all creation, I speak life over these sons. I ask Lord that You remember your Word and make your Word come to pass in these young men in Jesus' name.
In the name of Jesus, I say that these two sons:
Proverbs 14:29
Are slow to anger and have great understanding, and that they do not have hasty tempers that exalt folly.
Ephesians 4:26
That they may be angry, but they do not sin because of their anger, and they do not let the sun go down on their anger,
James 1:19
That they are quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
Proverbs 15:1
That they master the art of soft answers which turn away wrath, and that they do not let harsh words stir up anger.
Ephesians 4:31
That they let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from them, along with all malice.
Proverbs 19:11
That they allow good sense to make them slow to anger, and that it is their glory to overlook an offense.
Ecclesiastes 7:9
That they be not quick in their spirits to become angry, and that they understand that quick anger lodges in the bosom of fools.
Proverbs 16:32
And last Father, That these two sons are slow to anger, which makes them better than the mighty, and because they rule their spirits, they are better than he who takes a city.
All this I pray in Jesus' wonderful and precious name. Amen.
