Well, he almost certainly will instruct his people in Congress to obstruct almost every legislative act possible, so that they won't reach his desk for signature (or a veto). He doesn't want to be put in that position, you know.
In 2008 when Obama was elected everyone was saying how it was the end of the Republican party. But 6 years of lies, coverups, deception and 24/7 whining has people seeing our racist-in-chief for who he really is.
Best case scenario would be for Republicans to take over Congress. If Obama was smart he would do as Bill Clinton did and cooperate with the Republicans and enjoy a prosperous final 2 years. But I think his arrogance will not allow him to submit to anything beyond his own self-delusion.
You mean the Democrats might filibuster a Republican bill?
Without a majority, they can't obstruct anything. The only reason the Senate has been so absent from the legislative process is because Reid won't bring a House bill to a Senate vote. The Republicans have not been in a position to bottle up anything, but Reid has done a fine job of that all by himself.Well, he almost certainly will instruct his people in Congress to obstruct almost every legislative act possible, so that they won't reach his desk for signature (or a veto). Not only that, but they probably will stage walk-outs, boycotts, shouting matches, and engage in other such tactics...because that is exactly what they did the last time they felt outvoted in Congress.

--If Republicans take control of Congress, the next 2 years are going to be fun! Get the popcorn ready!
Maybe Harry will rent buses and take the Democrats to Toronto. Hopefully, ICE won't let 'em back across the border. The democrats in my home state did that when we got a Republican assemby, senate and governor. The democrats actually left the state and camped out in a motel in a neighboring state so votes couldn't take place. Reminded me of a bunch of spoiled brats who didn't want to play ball anymore when they realized they couldn't win.

Yes, it should be very interesting to see how Majority Leader McConnell handles that one.But remember, the Democrats changed the rules to now only require a simple majority rather than 60 votes.
Unless they take the position of "working with the president" and "compromising" like they did after they won the house in the last election. They won the House and then took the role of the losers.

Sure they can, although perhaps not 100%...and several ways of going about it have been mentioned already

Very true. And I wouldn't put it past them. Republicans are the best at finding ways to lose.
In other words ... the party of NO.Not only that, but they probably will stage walk-outs, boycotts, shouting matches, and engage in other such tactics...because that is exactly what they did the last time they felt outvoted in Congress.
Ah. And so we are back on topic.
Will they learn their lesson if given a reprieve by the voters THIS TIME?
In other words ... the party of NO.
Hopefully, we'll get the opportunity to experience this new problem.
The victory will be that poor little Obama will not be able to get his way quite so easily. It must be breaking his heart that people aren't buying his lies anymore.

I just don't know. It would seem that way, but I think it's just as likely that he doesn't care what the people think. He's living the high life himself on the taxpayer's dime...he and his family. And then he'll be making the big bucks on the lecture circuit when he's out of office. He's set for life, really.
