http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=14586 The US is updating its foreign and military deterrence policies to take into account a nuclear-armed Iran, according to a report in London's Sunday Telegraph. American officials cited in the report said that Iran had too successfully hidden and scattered its nuclear program for military intervention or limited international diplomatic efforts to have any realistic chance of preventing the Islamic Republic from obtaining nuclear weapons. Reports in the British media last week indicted that Washington believes Israel may launch a military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities in the very near future. Those reports followed an announcement by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that his nation now has 3,000 uranium enrichment centrifuges in operation, a significant step toward producing enough weapons-grade uranium to build bombs. Israeli officials have expressed confidence that even if the US decides not to participate in a strike on Iran, it will support the Jewish state in doing so.

How long has Israel had them?, have they used them? Have they threatened to blow another country off the map like Iran has?

No they'd just try get someone else to do it for them.
So sad the double standards applied against anyone that speaks out against Israel's crimes against humanity.

Israel is believed to possess the largest and most sophisticated arsenal outside of the five declared nuclear powers. Israel has never admitted possessing nuclear weapons, but abundant information is available showing that the capability exists. The center of Israel's weapons program is the Negev Nuclear Research Center near the desert town of Dimona (the center is usually identified simply as "Dimona"). A nuclear reactor and plutonium production facility was built by France at this facility in the late 1950s and early 60s. All of the production and fabrication of special nuclear materials (plutonium, lithium-6 deuteride, and enriched and unenriched uranium) occurs at Dimona although the design and assembly of nuclear weapons occurs elsewhere. America and Israel are secretly drawing up plans to deal with an Iran that has acquired nuclear weapons, The Sunday Telegraph has learned.
Teheran's two arch-foes are preparing for what they have long declared is an unacceptable scenario, as the prospects for air strikes to cripple Iran's nuclear network fade, and China and Russia undermine efforts to forge an international sanctions regime.
The United States and Israel are sticking publicly to their threats not to allow the Islamic Republic to develop an atomic bomb. But intelligence chiefs and military planners have given warning that Iran has done better at hiding and dispersing its nuclear facilities than previously assessed, this newspaper has been told.
