hey everyone! It Saturday night and I'm still trying to fight off a cold, which is settling in my ears. Its not full blown yet, but I fear its only gonna get worse.
UGH!

That doesn't sound any more fun than mine, which all settle in my chest giving me pneumonia lately.

Yeah i have a bit of a cough, its not deep in the chest yet, but I suspect its on its way. My ear is what's killing me! I'm hopin' it doesn't keep me from church tomorrow. I hate when I miss, it makes me feel off all week.

There is some nasty respiratory crud going around.

I've had it, but am recovering.

Just remember to help protect the rest of us from getting what you have by:
washing your hands before logging on

turning your head away from the screen if you have to cough or sneeze

For those who are currently well, in order to stay well:
When reading the threads about folks being ill - hold your breath as long as possible to avoid breathing in whatever it is they have.

Dawn, if you ever need to talk about it, I am available. I still have self esteem issues and doubt myself at times.

When I first starting going to my church, I asked if I could sit in the children's class (as a helper) just so I could learn the basics.

I love wisteria! I've always wanted some wisteria around where I live. I've only seen some in the woods down by NYC when I commuted there for work.

My husband and I moved to a new house ~4 years ago.

Our first choice wasn't the house we ended up with - which is how things were supposed to work out. But one of the many things I really liked about the house was the landscaping leading up to the front door - which included one of the healthiest and most beautiful wisterias I've ever seen. I mentally had my outdoor furniture arranged around the wisteria;)

Thanks, Rosey. I know the devil is working hard to get me to return to it because I still mourn losing it (my connection to the old church), but I know that God opened my eyes to the heresies there in a very dramatic way so I could never go back, but I feel like I am a shadow of what I was back then. :sigh:

Doing this while having a cold, might make you turn a shade of green followed by gasping of air, which then you will breathe in the cold germs.

just adding my 2 cents worth of support and respect for RepDaddy

I remember him well from some of the congregational forums as well as when he was on staff. He's been an asset to CF and it's members for years.

The fellowship he's built here is just a small inkling of what he's done for folks who participate on CF.

Yeah, there were several houses I had my furniture in and my deck chairs on the porch before we put in a bid, and others always got those houses first. :sigh:

Say, do you think you could send your MIL over to my house? I need the yard landscaped in a bad sort of way. :swoon:

It is one of the reasons I hang out on this discussion board so much. It keeps me centered in the Lord to have good Christian friends and be exposed to good Christian teaching. I have learned so much here. I have actually acquired quite a bit of theological understanding, however, I am still very naive regarding how things happen outside of the church I went to. I am very often left scratching my head trying to understand what is expected of me and how things work at the church I am now attending.

I think a lot of us scratch our heads when it comes to figuring out how things work at the churches we attend.

The best advice I can give you is in Proverbs 29:25 "The fear of man brings a snare. But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe."

Don't look to serve man. Instead, seek to please God, and everything else will fall into place. If we try to please the people around us, they will never be satisfied. But when we follow the Lord, He will lead us, guide us and direct us.

"You are my hiding place. You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. 'I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you and guide you with My eye.'" Psalm 32:7-8

When I get my eyes off of man and put them on the Lord Jesus Christ, Heb. 12:2, then I have found this to be so true. God does deliver me, protect me, and preserve me from trouble.

I know how you feel. I used to bump into people when I worked in Center City Phila. When I saw them, I would have a panic attack and run and hide. I was afraid to talk to them in fear that I would be drawn back into it.

Well with the weather today and out looking at some cars I wasn't able to get online until now. :( I was hoping to have been online several hours ago but wasn't able to. I have 22 reps available but I don't want to use them this late at night. Oh, and we didn't get a car yet. :sigh: I hope you all are having a wonderful evening. :)

that was addressed to the healthy people as a preventative tool - and I'm assuming they read fast;) :p

if a participant has a cold then they need to following the first two recommendations:thumbsup:

Sunday afternoon is always a great day to go car shopping. You can look on the lots without the car salemen pressuring you. Then go back during the week after you do a check online about the car to make an informed offer.

You and me both. I have about 20 reps coming in about now. Who knows where I'm going to put them, sweet little things...

Of course, I could send them over to Pastor RD's nursery... :)
