Are there any other Rent fans out there? When I was in highschool all of my friends loved Rent, I knew the entire musical (all the songs which are 98% of the show) by heart. I just saw it for the first time last year, my fiance brought me for my birthday. I absolutely love it! I think it has a good message too!

YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF RENT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! lol sorry but wow, rent is amazing, and you had better hear of it soon lol. a very short synopsis would be its just about these people who all know each other in some how, and they are all dealing with their everyday lives. you kind of have to know the characters to get the show:
Mark: the narrator, wants to be a filmaker
Roger: Mark's roomate, songwriter, trying to finish this one song, has HIV
Maureen: Mark's ex girlfriend, left him for JoAnne, shes a performance artist, also really bossy (IDINA'S ROLE!!!!!lol)
JoAnne: Maureen's girlfriend, i think shes like a law student or something, pretty much the opposite of Maureen
Angel: a drag queen, has HIV
Collins: don't know much about him, except he meet Angel and they fall in love, and he also has HIV
Mimi: a s&m dancer, lives below mark and roger, meets roger,t hey fall in live, also has HIV
Benny: the landlord of mark and rogers and mimis building, wants them to pay their rent, maureen is protesting something that hes doing, im not sure what it is tho

so yeah thats them.....the show is amazing, the music is amazing, jonathan larson (who wrote it) is amazing.

it definitly is awesome, but now that its like really popular theyre getting all these pop stars to be in it, like scary spice and drew lachey, so that kinda sucks. but its still amazing lol

i assume their good at the singing, but i honestly have no idea about the acting, though, judging from other pop-starts' acting, its probably not that great.
