We need to rename them one the

"discussion forum"
and
Bible study forum
That would still leave two to be dealt with. Those two have to go ultimately. Matters that are not to be debated will be placed in stickies, debate and fellowship will be conducted in the Main Forum and the Newbies will do their thing by themselves.

For someone that doesn't want to get involved Sentipente, you sure are right in the middle of this process.

Ice, I'm confused, what do you mean with this poll? (I'm seriously asking, not being facetious).

Do you mean we would rename two of the forums that we already voted on and just change their names?

What's the "phaze out" part of this about? Am I missing something?

These are procedural matters. I am merely offering assistance where my expertise can be of use.

I don't want to go off alone in a corner Sentipente.

You know, what I said wasn't worded like I wanted it to be, so I apologize. I didn't mean that to sound like an attack and looking at it, it probably did.

I think you are just wanting some order here like the rest of us, so seriously, I'm sorry.
Accepted and forgiven.

i want to make sure there is no confusion about getting rid of the forums. We need to rename the and do it quickly. move the discussion/debate to one of them and create a friendly forum. other are talking about removing the traditional /progressive fourms all together. i think we should rename the current forums, try them out and see if we still need the progressive and traditional forum

I think we are all saying the same thing, just from different angles. I agree we should rename the current forums and state the purpose and fucntion of the new forums, try them out and then in 90 days see if we are happy with the new setup and if we are then phase out the progressive and traditional forum as they are 'obsolete'.

Here is the proposal that I put up:

I think we can keep the prog/trad forums for the present (since we voted on them) and phase them out at our leisure such as in 90 days if we have a consensus, but we need to set up the following and implement:

1) I would set up a NO-DEBATE/STICKY subforum where the formal or official Seventh Day Adventist beliefs could be posted for study so we have a basis from where to start our discussions or studies. (This would allow non-Adventist and Adventists to see our churches beliefs as even some Adventists dont know them, just what they've been 'told'...)

2) Then a ADVENTIST DISCUSSION/BIBLE STUDY forum where the formal or official Seventh Day Adventist beliefs could be gone over and any presentation relating to the beliefs under discussion allowed. (This would allow non-Adventist and Adventists to ask questions about our churches beliefs, everyone can always learn in a true discussion of God's truth)

3) Then finally a GENERAL ADVENTIST THEOLOGY/DEBATE forum where any Adventist beliefs or issues could be analyzed by all and debated. (For those who want break down and scrutinize Adventist theology and beliefs and want to bring in different/fresh viewpoints for everyone to go over.)

Then we set up a group of ten 'elders', (those who are regarded as fair/honest in their interaction with others and have been here for a while) who keep the discussions and conversations from getting out of line and report violators to the moderators for processing.

In other words, we police ourselves and let the moderators judge the problematic posters....
