Well... hmm. Thank you all. Seriously.
None of the comments regarding my age did I take to heart. I think the average, young adult has heard that attitude before. Maybe because in some cases its true. I don't know. You don't have to experience a gruelling abortion-gone-wrong to become anti-abortion, so I don't see how pregnancy and child-rearing leads to the inevitable conclusion that abortion for all women is wrong.
I'm sure if I choose to have kids, it will be becuase I wanted them. Hence, I wouldn't choose to have an abortion. The desire to be a mother outweighs the desire [or lack thereof] to have an abortion. But as I've said, I'd have no right to judge someone if they choose to buy that magazine, or buy that video. Its their own personal decision, that doesn't effect me.
However. I'm just wondering. Yes, Calliso & LunarPlexus are both "young". I've agreed with them on several points, so maybe in that case, it is do to the generation we grew up in.
But then how do you explain Archivist? Who's held a consistently pro-choice view in terms of sex abuse victims throughout this thread? He's had arguably more life experience than the three of us girls, if we're going just by age.
Apologies to Archivist if you feel I'm singaling you out. Its not my intention.
As well, I have never been pregnant in any shape or form. So, while I could argue I agree somewhat with Archivist's argument...
I don't know if I can apply it entirely to me. I will argue that if I got pregnant at my age, I would be in a panic. I'd be devestated. While maybe abortion wouldn't be the option I would personally choose, I do feel as a fellow woman, that she has the right to choose what is best for her. And while that includes rape victims & those involved in incestuous relationships, I am personally of the belief that any woman has the right to terminate the pregnancy.
I sound like a broken record...

It might not be a matter of age or experience. Perhaps the fact that she is a woman gives her more of an insight into thsi topic that you will ever have.
