Tomorrow, May 4, would have been Maynard Ferguson's 79th birthday.

His final album 'At The Top' will be released tomorrow, and the DVD tribute following his death last August will be released the end of May

Maynard was quite a talent. The sheer power and volume of his playing was incredible.

I LOVED Maynard, I have almost all of his albums, talk about a powerful big band, wow, his was sure among the top ten. I will miss him.
