Remember:

The old Zero costume for kids the sword had a place at the end to place chalk. [Z where everywhere]

The TV shows Rin tin tin, Lassie, TV was not on the air all day or all night,

Gas was .25 gal

My first new car was $2000

only AM raido

45 records

Candy was: 5cent for a candy bar, bubble gum was 1cent, bottle of pop was 10cent, and a comic book was 12cent. We would collect pop bottles and take them to the store for a 2cent deposit.

At the movies you get two movies and a bunch of cartoons.

Drive-in-movies

Then come the so called gas shortage.

Yea 74, I was working in port Everglades in Fortlaudeal Fl where the Gas comes in. They would not let the ships unload there fuel. Then on the news they would show long gas lines and tell people there was no gas! Yea right. From that time to this the price of everything has gone up.

I Remember when:
McDonald's value meals were all under $3.

You could buy gum from a 1 cent gumball machine! (Jeepers...a quarter now for the cheapest).

It wasn't "fashionable" to be wearing clothing purchased from K-Mart. (The kids at school were downright cruel if you wore "Kmart blue-light specials").

A&W was a drive-in diner where they'd come to your car to take your order and put one of those trays on your window to set your food and rootbeers on.

Beta VCRs were the latest thing...and VCRs couldn't be bought for under $200. (Wow, some things go way up in price...while other things come way down!)
