Holy cow, yes...I remember all the Jokes and everything. I can even quote some of the 'poems' we made up about it...wow....

Remember when cartoons were simply decent entertainment... My folks NEVER had to monitor a cartoon to make sure it was clean enough to watch.

Remember your first transistor radio?

Yes, I do, Rich. When I was about 8, my Uncle, who was in the Navy, sent my sister and me a little transistor radio each, from Panama. The mere fact that it had come from so far away was exciting to us.

We used to listen to the Children's Stories Request Hour early every Sunday morning. Did you ones have those too? I used to get tired of this story: 'Sparky and the Talking Train'.

We had something like that. I remember listening to WING radio-and thel latest songs from people like Paul Anka, the Marcels, etc

Remember when FM was classical only?

yes....I didn't even know FM existed for the longest time...

remember the 1st time you walked to school by yourself?

Yes, but then, the school was only 1 block away!

Remember walking home in the dark for the first time?

yes.....I was with somebody else and we had just seen a scary movie..and we both thought we saw a ghost on the ground at the same time

remember when you went to the corner store and stood at the candy counter wondering how to spend yer quarter?

I remember going to the dairy with my pocket money, but I knew already what I was going to buy. I loved these lollies - wine gums, glow hearts and spearmint leaves - and I usually bought a few of those.

Remember all the magazines available for teenagers? I used to get Pink, (an English magazine for girls), Teen magazine and 16, I think it was called. Photos of pop stars everywhere!

Yes, we used to go places with our friends, and no adults present, at a much younger age than nowadays.

Do you remember your first day at high school? I do ..... so exciting to be at college!! (We have high schools/colleges here in NZ. They're the same thing - secondary school. University (tertiary education) comes later)
