Remember when 30 seemed so OLD?!?!

Golly, I do. I remember in elementary school thinking my parents' generation was ancient!

And when I was 33 I thought, "wow...the Savior was MY AGE when He was crucified." Suddenly it didn't seem so old anymore.

At least we aren't like those old 40-year-olds.

I remember thinking that. Mostly in high school and early twenties it seemed so far away. Those young adult years have passed alot faster then i thought they would.

I remember when my mom turned 30 and dad 32...both in June. Mom was "dirty" and dad was "dirty two"! So the past couple months hubby (who's 37 and thinks he's such a wise-guy ) had been teasing ME about turning "dirty"

My wife turns 40 in January (yes she's the older woman). I found the perfect birthday card for her - on the outside it says "You're turning 40, but there is 1 thing that will always be true..." and on the inside it says "I'll always be younger than you! Neener Neener Neener

I really never thought about the 30's just 40's & up being "Old". But I do remember saying that I would have at least 2 kids by the time I was 25 but that hasn't happened.

I was born when my parents were 40 and 43. My brothers were 13 and 15.
I do remember thinking it was a long ways off. When I was in middle school it still seemed a long ways off. In high school I planned my life out from about 11th/12th grade all the way through my mid-late 30s. 11-13 years ago it seemed like it was more reasonable and I was wanting to do all that I could to live life to the longest and healthiest way I could.
Boy was that ancient, that long ago time! When someone has to count backwards on their fingers to figure out how many years ago something was.
