I’m am quite confused of the concept of remarriage.
If someone divorces you, are you able to remarry?
1 Corinthians 7:10-11 seems to say no, and some still do.
If you divorce for the reason of immorality, (as Matthew says)
are you free to remarry?
Just curious!
Thank you.
The answer you will get regarding your question , per believer, is going to be related to how much they understand the finished Work of Jesus on the Cross, or not.
The less they understand it, the more they will shout "you can't remarry, stay single and die".
The more they understand the blood atonement, and the "gift of righteousness", the more they will respond with......"is divorce a sin the blood of Jesus didn't deal with already"? ??????
So, find your answer not from a confused mass of people on a forum , but find it always according to this fact...
"God's Mercy endures forever".
And this idea....
God is the God of the endless 2nd Chance.
See, God is not interested in us being destroyed by our mistakes.
Its self righteous people who want you to suffer endless consequences.
God is not sitting up there demanding that we live in misery till our death, to prove we understand we were wrong.
God is actually, LOVE. He is unconditional LOVE. And this LOVE, allows us to find our way out of a mistake and into a better life, always.
