Relocating and the Family

Have been considering relocating. Have been a pastor for 14 years in two different churches that were close in proximity. Considering a move to another state. How do you deal with family stress, kids, anxiety issues?

Don't do it if you don't have to unless everyone wants to. If you have to, explain to everyone why and talk it out. If you arbitrarily make the move you are in for trouble.

If God is calling you to a new ministry position, don't you think God will call your family, as well? It's my experience, both in my family and in others I know intimately, that God works in the hearts of all members of the family. Often, they know before the "minister" what God is up to.

So, trust God. Don't move unless God's call is clear, and don't go where God is not leading.
