I like them, and I don't like them.

They've got quite a few GREAT songs. Their Christian songs are right on I think. And I love those.

On the other hand... they appear more or less morally corrupt. Their "Pressing On" music video is full to the brim of girls immodestly dressed in skimpy clothing with pants that appear to just be painted on. And... they were gonna advertise for Abercombie and Fitch(aka Abercombia and Filth) until tons of fans screamed at them about it. And some of their songs don't exactly seem... great. For example, in Sadie Hawkins Dance, a girl picks the signer because "you're smart and good with talking". The many of their non-Christian songs(like Sadie Hawkins Dance) have something like that in them. I just... don't think that's a good thing to have coming from a Christian band.

I respectfully disagree. Sadie Hawkins is perfect for the CD. Why? Sadie Hawkins is played on our local radio stations...everyone knows it, and if they like it, they buy the cd (or steal it online). Anyway, they do this never expecting to hear any of the Christian lyrics on the cd. What a great marketing technique and a wonderful way to spread the word.

I do agree with some other points you made, however. I was not aware of their music video or their Abercrombe deal.

I think Relient K is an awesome band! I went to one of their concerts last year and they did a really good job. A couple weeks ago, they held a concert here, but I couldn't go. A few of my friends went and they said it was awesome. One of them even got a drum stick which is pretty cool. :)

Relient K rocks!!! I love them, they have great music.

I have their new Christmas CD and it's great as well! They have some funny alterations of traditonal Christmas songs on their such as "12 days of Christmas." Some of the lyrics are:
"What's a partridge? What's a Pear tree? I don't know so please don't ask me!" LOL, it's even funier within the tune of the song.

God bless!

Morally corrupt? That's a heavy conviction... Though I don't see really how they are.... Even more so in today's world. Now I don't want to sound as though I'm blending with the world on any level, because I'm not. But moral corruption in today's world is a good bit different.. As see in movies like Kill Bill ect. Now if you were from the good old days, they would seem down right vulger, but times have changed.....

And some of their songs don't exactly seem... great. For example, in Sadie Hawkins Dance, a girl picks the signer because "you're smart and good with talking".
You must disagree with dating and such... Which a partially agree with you there (personally I don't date)... But the song isn't made to permote dating and dancing or they would have put more.. It's mroe for fun...

The many of their non-Christian songs(like Sadie Hawkins Dance) have something like that in them. I just... don't think that's a good thing to have coming from a Christian band.
A Christian band, and Christian songs means that they both honor and lift up Christ... Then a guess there are really only a few Christian bands or songs... But then alos, that's a lot on what you think, though I don't condemn you for it...
