  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Relationship problems and in need of prayer.

Me and my ex girlfriend have been together for over 2 years and we had our fights like everyone does and I've been wrong and she has in situations, but we just recently got out of college and moved back home and I got mad at her one day and didn't call her for about 1 day and a half, then she told me we need time apart I was hurt but I said ok. So I tried for about a week and a half I told her I was sorry, I'll change, I sent her flowers and ballons, wrote her poems, said sweet things to her and everything and she still felt the same way. She was saying that she only needed time and she didn't really call me much for the 2 weeks and I asked why and she said b/c she didn't have anything to say to me, but I've been calling her constantly and she'll hurry the conversation and tell me she call back but never do. Then she'll say she think i should find me someone else and explore my options, i should've known then there was something going on then, but she constantly denied she was seeing someone or talking to anyone, and she call herself trying to go to church and get right wit GOD, and she playing wit people feelings and heart like this, it aint right. So one day i didn't call her all that day then she said she missed me and she felt like coming back but still needed time so i was like ok. Then one nite i called her and she was acting funny and laughing with someone saying, "someone's missing with me," so i asked who she never told me who, where she was at, or what she was doing, then i was still talking then she hung up in my face i called back about 20 times that nite she never answerd then later i found out she cut the ringer off and she never called back. I called her back about 5 in the morning she picked up and hung up in my face, and didn't pick up none after that. So the next day i saw her in church and i asked her, she said she was taliking to some dude she wouldn't tell me who and how or why they was talking, but she said she didn't pick up b/c she felt bad about it but it didn't seem that way when i was talking to her and before she hung up in my face. Then she wouldn't talk to me, and said she don't have anything to say to me, and she won't answer the phone now. I'm really hurt b/c how could someone who say they loved u about a couple days ago do u this bad and won't even pick up when you call, don't have anything to say to u , or won't call back? This hurt really bad and I need prayer for strength to get over her and for me to find someone right for me, please help. THANKS

You are young, I will pray for you that things work out. Understand though that working out may not mean getting back with her. All things happen for a reason.

I will pray for you, and be glad, you were spared a lot of turmoil that could have ensued if the already strained relationship continued. People withen relationships that they aren't totaly commited to, tend do become resentful of the person they stay for, it can be a very painful situation.

i'm only a few years older than you so the knowledge of what you're going though, well, the same thing is still fresh in my memory. She was your first love, trust me, your second love will be so much greater and you will ask yourself.........how was i truly in love before i met my second love.

you are young and it is hard, it will be hard for a long time but it will pass and fade. spend time with your friends, don't moarn but enjoy yourself.

i know what you are feeling and believe me the pain will pass. be thankful and happy for the 2years you had together, use the experience for the better in your next relationship.

I though my first love was going to be with me for life but as soon as the relationship was over and the hypnoctic spell was undone i realised that it was folly of me to think that at 18 i would be with that person for life.

we change too much when we are young. im still changing and growing now.

Being unwilling to commit and wanting to move out of town at 18 is perfectly reasonable.

It's a bummer, I understand, but you're a little young to be clamping down quite so hard.
